Karen Bass ran a shameful, dishonest, and divisive campaign, spending the last few weeks engaging in dog-whistles in a desperate attempt to hold on to power. It was pathetic.
As mayor she sold out and became the very creature she used to fight against.

Marissa Roy winning is important if you’re into LAPD transparency.
Right now the LAPD refuses to turn over public records and when we sue, Hydee wastes so much of your money fighting unwinnable court cases.
To give more of an idea of Karen Bass's lies, here's what her LAPD will be giving to her Police Commission today regarding the "Immigration Update" for September - a 3 page document that obscures the true nature of LAPD's behavior, which is them repeatedly assisting ICE
So everything that LAPD says is a lie and should not be trusted. And Karen Bass continues to proudly and enthusiasticlly support LAPD chief Jim "MAGA" McDonnell through all of this
If you want to yell at Police Commission, come out to LAPD headquarters today at 9:30 AM at 100 W 1st Street or call in using this link (be sure to join around 9 and raise your hand as soon as the meeting starts to make sure you get called to speak)

Thoughts and prayers for @enforcethefares members who are going to find out that riding Metro is actually less stressful and feels more efficient when drivers don't have to deal with fare collection and one of Transit Security's main excuses for harassing riders is taken away
It's really remarkable how in the last weeks of her campaign, Karen Bass has decided "OK the people on the left I used to stand alongside don't like me anymore, I'll just go right wing instead"
As Mayor, my focus has always been on bringing people together. Solving our toughest challenges takes all of us at the table. Thank you, @RickCarusoLA, for joining me on the campaign trail and for your support. We haven’t always agreed, but we are united in putting LA first.
This city can and should work to make things more affordable, provide housing and services to unhoused people instead of violent sweeps, and put an end to the violence of the LAPD - one of the most murderous police departments in the country. We just need to work towards it
