Will financial innovation dethrone the dollar, or make it stronger? In a new @FT op-ed based on his Jackson Hole paper, IC3 faculty @EswarSPrasad breaks down how stablecoins and blockchain tech could entrench USD dominance rather than dismantle it: ft.com/content/1481e787-77dc…

How do you audit proprietary AI code without giving away your secret sauce? By combining TEEs with LLM agents, you can cryptographically verify closed-source code for backdoors, vulnerabilities, and GDPR compliance — without ever making it public. In EP4 of Proof of Research, IC3's @danivilardell77 & @sjbreck unpack how their research, πCreds, solves the private software trust problem. Full episode drops 09.24.26 🎙️👇

Award for "Stealing ML Models via Prediction APIs" (USENIX Sec '16), led by @florian_tramer and @0xFanZhang, with Mike Reiter, @TomRistenpart, and me. We knew models were worth stealing. We had no inkling of the big impact the lessons on API design would have on frontier AI.
Congrats to Professor @AriJuels, Cornell Tech professor and co-director of @initc3org, on receiving the 2026 USENIX Security Test of Time Award! Learn more about his work: tech.cornell.edu/news/ari-ju… @Cornell_Bowers #CornellAI #USENIX

Proud to bring together AI, blockchain, and tech builders from @OpenAI, @Meta Superintelligence Lab, @Replit, @StellarOrg, @solana Foundation, @PayPal @Microsoft , @linuxfoundation, @1MoneyNetwork and @a16zcrypto, with faculty & researchers from @Stanford @UCBerkeley , @Yale and @cornell_tech . It was an edifying and high-signal discussion around the most promising areas for evolution in AI and blockchain as automated decision-making technologies. Thank you to my co-hosts, @AriJuels and Jim Ballingall of @initc3org, as well as to Oana Gherman, Ashley Stanhope and my frequent partners at @theBBFund Been a great week at Stanford. When I started out as a founder, I spent many afternoons on its open campus in coffee meetings and walks with entrepreneurs and CS grads making sense of Web 1.0. Being back this week to think through AI and agentic systems was both productive and, I'd say quite naturally, nostalgic.

Crossroads turns (nearly) every cryptocurrency into an ERC-20 token on a unified platform. Applications include private payments, cross-chain DEXes, and a universal faucet (good for AI agents). Blockchain integration is permissionless, extending reach across the full ecosystem.
1/ The DeFi UX is fundamentally broken. Despite extensive work on cross-chain bridging, moving assets remains cumbersome, expensive, and centralized. Most bridges act as gatekeepers, permissioning only a few major ecosystems. New IC3 research, "Crossroads," changes this:

Work spearheaded (with many months of sweat) by my PhD students James Austgen and @danivilardell77. Their Crossroads universal faucet won first prize at the IC3 blockchain camp hackathon this year.
