IIPP was founded to rethink the role of the state and to challenge traditional economic thinking. Markets are outcomes of interactions between actors, so public policy is not limited to fixing market failures: it can actively shape and co-create markets, and create public value in doing so.

Within academia, the job market is particularly difficult this year. A dearth of interviews and jobs. The exact same thing happened when I went on the job market years ago: 150 applications, 1 interview!
Back then I wondered about the implications. So, what did I do? I wrote a paper about it! The study can be found here: ideas.repec.org/p/feb/natura…
Both the demand and supply sides responded in an interesting manner. I wonder if the same is happening today?
