“The paradigm shift in disruptive graphene as a material has arrived.” @RonaldVolusus No longer a question of “if” but a question of “when”!! $HGRAF
Replying to @ArneriDesign
The Global Graphene Tonnage Shortfall (2027–2030) As industrial demand accelerates across heavy sectors, the overarching narrative of the graphene market is shifting away from theoretical market size toward a supply versus demand scaling challenge. While broad market projections scale cumulative demand past 30,000 tonnes, the market faces a severe qualitative divide between high volume commodity powders and true mission critical supply. Aggregate cumulative demand across sectors like marine anti-corrosion coatings, electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding layers, lightweight composite aircraft wings, and EV battery gigafactories scales dramatically through 2030. Today’s market volume consists of commodity graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) and agglomerated powders. While these bulk fillers satisfy low end applications, they are fundamentally unsuited for specialized, high performance requirements due to structural defects and excess layer counts. We are witnessing in real time a high stakes race for advanced applications, such as hypersonic defense systems, AI data center thermal management, and next generation 6G electronics where the supply of suitable, mission critical material operates at an alarming and widening deficit. The question that investors and industry today is asking "where graphene can be used?" Rather its must now be in solving the bottleneck for demand thats coming. Its no longer when if graphene will be added into everything its when. The paradigm shift in disruptive graphene as a material has arrived. However the scaling issue of mission critical graphene will not meet anticipated demand severely limiting throughput. If domestic manufacturing fails to transcend these static limitations and rapidly scale to meet anticipated demand, mission critical graphene will most likely become a formally designated critical material by the United States.

$HGRAF must and will scale. Luckily capex per Hyperion is low + quickly paid back + it’s quick to build! Huge benefit is having acetylene gas as a feedstock, making it possible to have high production throughput!

Big Oil is quietly moving off steel 🛢️➡️🧪 Pipes, liners, seals, tanks and coatings are going "nonmetallic" to beat corrosion. And $HGRAF keeps turning up one or two steps from the people running it

None of this confirms an Aramco deal. The slide says "active opportunities," not contracts. But the pattern keeps repeating, and patterns are worth watching. DYOR. NFA. $HGRAF

ASU tested HydroGraph graphene in cement: up to 21% stronger at 28 days and 16.7% less cement, at doses of 0.02% or less. Now picture that on Saudi giga-project volumes. $HGRAF

SIEFCO is a different angle. It calls itself Saudi Arabia's largest paver maker: interlock, tiles, curbstones and blocks, from 7 factories in Riyadh and Dammam. That's concrete, and HydroGraph has been building a concrete story. $HGRAF

Later that year Aramco signed an MOU to fund up to $100M of KAUST research. KAUST also runs a carbon lab working on graphene, carbon composites for building materials and energy storage electrodes. $HGRAF

KAUST is close to Aramco. In Jan 2024 they launched ENERCOMP, a 5-year consortium on nonmetallics and composites for energy. Aramco is the founding member and first sponsor. kaust.edu.sa/news/aramco-kau… $HGRAF

Two Saudi names sit on HydroGraph's partner slide: KAUST and SIEFCO. Neither has been announced. Both are worth a closer look. $HGRAF

🐟🚗 There's a chemical in almost every tire on Earth that regulators now want gone. It's called 6PPD, and the race to replace it could open a massive new market for graphene. A deep dive on the rules, the timelines and where $HGRAF fits

Went through 17 of the 6PPD filings tire makers sent California DTSC. Most picked other PPDs (7PPD, 77PD, IPPD, CCPD). USTMA on graphene: it doesn't migrate in rubber, so it can't fully replace 6PPD. But it could cut how much is needed. Reduce, not replace. $HGRAF DYOR NFA

Which graphene was cut? 🔍 The report names three examples: • Akron Polymer Solutions' Prophene • Levidian's G3 (made from methane) • Directa Plus's G+ masterbatch (graphite-based) $HGRAF's detonation-made Fractal Graphene isn't on the list cen.acs.org/business/special…

The tire consortium's Sept 2026 report eliminated "specialized graphene" (Akron's Prophene, Levidian's G3, Directa Plus) and carbon nanotubes on performance data. $HGRAF wasn't named. 39 candidates remain, with a decision due ~2029 🙏

The twist: the front-runners (7PPD, IPPD, CCPD) are in the same PPD family as 6PPD, and the EU and California are now moving against PPDs too 🧪 The consortium says it's still open to new candidates. It's a long shot, not a catalyst $HGRAF

Update/ 🔄 Correction to my 6PPD thread: per @cenmag (Oct 16), the tire consortium eliminated "specialized graphene" along with carbon nanotubes. 39 candidates remain, with a decision due 2029. $HGRAF wasn't named. The regulation story stands. 🙏 cen.acs.org/business/special…

@aramco works with 38+ manufacturers on nonmetallics. @SparctechS names Aramco as a target user. $HGRAF graphene is in Sparc's supply base 🤔 👀 Is @HydroGraphInc lalready in that chain, directly or through Sparc? Not announced. Worth asking.
