Leaving Valencia soon and sad to be leaving behind Plaça de Manual Granero. Incredible trees giving much-needed shade, variety of playgrounds, outdoor gym, loads and loads of seating and just the most welcoming positive vibes. Truly a common room for the neighbourhood.
A favourite loose armchair awaits its regular bottom. Somebody has added their own sit-up bench to the gym. Murals and graffiti disregard matters of definition. Kid’s parties take place below the trees. Papoosed dads gossip on benches. Old-timers backgammon the afternoon away.
And Olí Bar, oh Olí Bar - just the ultimate neighbourhood bar. If only everybody could live near somewhere like Olí Bar.
