This morning, in the fresh field, I came upon a hidden nest. It held four warm, speckled eggs. I touched them. Then went away softly, Having felt something more wonderful Than all the electricity of New York City. ― Mary Oliver, Evidence: Poems

Anyone who thinks about Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) for more than 5 seconds and/or who cares about the natural world knows CCS is just another industry head fake / destruction scheme and knew from the beginning it's a boondoggle. But so many fell for it. >>

On the IPCC's chapter presenting CCS as a "valuable tool" and building it into their models: "The chapter authors’ confidence in CCS doesn’t suggest “that a bunch of us are tools of the fossil fuel industry.”" Sorry, but yes, actually, it does. 😂🤣😂😒😠

Excellent article about how high-severity wildfire is critical for some ecosystems, including Giant Sequoias. "... low-severity blazes seldom regenerate sequoias, which require high-severity fires that kill all trees, including mature sequoias, for successful regeneration." >>

"The problem with the current management perspective is that while it may “save” today’s old-growth trees, it may preclude the continued existence of Giant Sequoia in the future." georgewuerthner.substack.com…

""Trawlers have transformed life on the seabed, converting three-dimensional, complex habitats rich in coral, sponge and sea fan to endless monotonous expanses of shifting gravel, sand and mud." This was written 12 years ago. I can only imagine how much worse it is now. >>

"Nothing worth catching is left," states Callum Roberts in his book, Ocean of Life. We humans are taking every living being, in a wildlife holocaust we are perpetrating on land and in the sea, all around the planet. theguardian.com/environment/…
