I did indeed have a read! Just finished reading this thoughtful, evocative and thoroughly enjoyable book this morning. An illuminating account of the careers of Mackey and Ring extending beyond their individual stories, exploring the wider social and political context. Excellent

Bought this book for my dad who has devoured it in a few days. A ringing endorsement!
He was at the Munster semi-final in 1957 when this famous Ring & Mackey shot was taken and just gave me a blow-by-blow account of the game over the phone.
MACKEY & RING is out in the world and available to buy!
