Very exciting talks at the #GRCToxPath 2024, and lots of extremely friendly people to discuss with ! I hope to come back in 2 years 🦠
What's better than spending a whole Wednesday morning infecting cells with @Kamo_Valenzuela ?
It cannot get more satisfying than seeing the little lab ducks swim over the tower of plates we had to use !🦆
Failing an immunofluorescence assay can sometimes be both frustrating and fascinating... You get no data out of it, but you definitely get great wallpapers for your desktop 🤩
(microtubules or actin, I don't know - but the signal definitely shouldn't be there! )
Very happy to have had the opportunity to present some of my work at the 26th annual meeting of the #exoendo club in Sète!
3 days packed with super interesting talks and discussions (also nice walks on the beach during the breaks)

Super happy to have been able to present my work at @clubexoendo and visit the nice surroundings in Sète! Very interesting talks from everyone:)
It's finally out! After months of collective hard work I'm very proud to have some of my results published ! Thanks to all the @EnningaL for the help and especially to @Mlle_Grumpy and @Kamo_Valenzuela for their support and help!
The revisions dream-team can now take some rest ❤️
We show that Rab35 is recruited to Shigella BCV in a non-canonical way following its fatty acylation by Shigella effector IcsB. This recruitment has an impact on Shigella escape in the cytosol.

Fantastic work by Candice!
I'm very happy to have had the opportunity to help polish this story in the revisions dreamteam with @Kamo_Valenzuela!
Chang and coworkers @EnningaL show that Shigella uses a bacterial effector to subvert host Rab proteins, microtubules and molecular motors to provide mechanical force to facilitate Shigella escape #Shigella, #T3SS, #VacuolarEscape

What's better to start the weekend than to read a nice paper?
It's probably to read a nice paper on microtubules impact during Shigella invasion!
Check out this new piece from twitterless Candice, John Rohde and our lab!

I'm also very grateful to have helped along with @Kamo_Valenzuela during the revision process of this fantastic work!
Thrilled to share the outcome of a project I had the opportunity to work on with twitterless Lisa, @Kamo_Valenzuela, @EnningaL, @midweekwarrior and @Chrom_Inf ! If you're interested in BAR proteins fate during Shigella invasion, have a look! 🔬🦠
