There was this one mercenary I knew who would have us throw rocks at his bare back. Something about building tolerance for pain. He noticed me scoffing a bit at his pain reaction. Challenges me to do the same thing and not flinch.

I say alright. They throw their rocks and shit at me and I don't move a muscle. Not the tiniest flinch. He asks how the fuck. Says I must have trained this way for years to build it up. I tell him I never intentionally built up pain tolerance. He wants to know what I did then.

It's my fucking periods. Bad cramps are some of the worst fucking pain I've ever had, and I took a battle axe to the face once before. Shit's awful but it makes me a good soldier. Feel free to beam your cramps at me.
