Despite aggressive attempts by the Indian journalist @VishnuNDTV to bait the Malaysian PM into condemning Pakistan, the tactic completely backfired. Asked to label Pakistan’s actions in Pahalgam as "state-sponsored terrorism," the Prime Minister flatly refused, stating his own intelligence agencies found no evidence of state involvement. Rejecting the journalist’s sensationalized framing, he instead praised Pakistan as a great nation with a rich history, culture, and civilization

Israel Election: Arab Parties Could Hold the Key
With over 70% of votes counted, neither Benjamin Netanyahu nor his rival Gadi Eisenkot has secured the 61 seats needed to form a government.
Netanyahu’s bloc is projected to win 54 seats, while opposition parties could get around 65. But divisions among them make forming a government difficult.
Arab parties are projected to win 18–19 seats. Representing Palestinian citizens of Israel, they could play a crucial role in a closely contested election. The opposition may need their support to remove Netanyahu from power, even if Arab parties do not join the government themselves.

Israel Election: Netanyahu’s Bloc Falls Short of Majority
With 51.8% of votes counted, Benjamin Netanyahu’s bloc leads with 55 seats, followed by the opposition with 49 and Arab-led parties with 16.
A majority of 61 seats is needed to form a government in Israel’s 120-seat Knesset.
Netanyahu remains six seats short. The opposition also needs support from other parties, making coalition negotiations crucial. The remaining votes could still change the outcome.

CNN’s chief international anchor @amanpour will leave the network next June after 43 years.
“After many months of thought and a few sleepless nights, I have decided to separate from CNN, my partner of 43 fantastic years!” she said in a statement.
She joined CNN in September 1983 as an entry-level assistant, arriving with a suitcase, a bicycle and about $100. She worked her way up through writing, producing and reporting before becoming a foreign correspondent around 1990. The Gulf War became a major turning point in her career.

#Russia warned Friday that a "significant presence of terrorist and extremist groups, along with their training camps and strongholds” in #Afghanistan poses a threat to #Tajikistan, #Uzbekistan, and #Turkmenistan. “Members of these groups are attempting to infiltrate Central Asian countries under the guise of refugees and even tourists,” Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told a Moscow-hosted conference on security in Central Asia and Afghanistan.
The main threat, he added, comes from the regional offshoot of the Islamic State group, known as IS Khorasan Province (#ISKP). “Concurrently, the radicals want to use Afghanistan as a launching pad for taking terrorist activity to Central Asia and Russia,” Lavrov said. He stated, without elaborating, that “attempts are being made to smuggle weapons and drugs from Afghanistan into Central Asian countries and then into Russia.”
The Russian Foreign Minister's remarks sharply contradicted claims made at the same event by the Taliban’s ambassador to Russia, Gul Hassan Hassan. The Taliban diplomat asserted in his speech that the only threat to the security of Afghanistan and the region comes from Pakistan, accusing its neighbor of harboring Afghan armed opposition fighters and the Islamic State offshoot.
FATAH-IV COULD BRING INDIA’S MILITARY BASES AND ECONOMIC HUBS WITHIN PAKISTAN’S REACH
According to The Diplomat, Pakistan’s extended-range Fatah-IV missile, tested with a reported range exceeding 750 km, could expand Pakistan’s reach against military installations and strategic targets deep inside India. Its low-altitude flight profile may complicate detection and interception, strengthening Pakistan’s conventional deterrence.

Nigel Farage has threatened Pakistan with flight bans, visa restrictions and asset freezes if it refuses to take back Shabir Ahmed, a convicted member of the Rochdale grooming gang.
Ahmed was convicted in 2012 of rape and other sexual offences involving young girls. He served 14 years in prison and was released on licence in July 2026.
His deportation is complicated by UK immigration law because he arrived in Britain before 1973. The British government has been exploring ways to overcome the legal obstacles to removing him.
Pakistan has disputed its obligation to accept Ahmed, with officials indicating that he had renounced Pakistani nationality. Pakistan has also argued that the matter is an internal UK issue.
