Voters resoundingly rejected the war on Iran yesterday. Democrats can't wait until January to listen. Congress will soon be voting Trump's $1.5 TRILLION war budget. If we want to stop the war, we have to cut off its funding. Democrats must do everything in their power to stop this budget from passing before the new Congress takes office. Join us next week in D.C. to tell Congress to fund our communities, not war! codepink.org/novdc26

JD Vance is now acknowledging what voters made clear at the ballot box: the war in Iran came at a major political cost to Republicans. After months of defending Trump's war, Vance admits that voters want an end to the conflict, relief from rising costs, and a different relationship with Israel. But acknowledging the political consequences is not the same as calling for peace. If even the White House recognizes that Americans want this war to end, why is it still continuing?

Election night sent a message: People are tired of endless wars, blank checks for Israel, and politicians who put weapons manufacturers ahead of their constituents. But winning elections doesn't automatically mean winning change. We can't sit back and expect Congress to deliver. We have to demand it. That's why we're heading to Washington, DC, November 10–12, for a Taxpayer Uprising! Our demands are clear: END the war in Iran. STOP funding Israel's war machine. CUT the Pentagon budget. INVEST in people's needs, not war profiteers. Stop funding war. Start funding life. Join us November 10–12! codepink.org/novdc26

The existence of secret Ukrainian torture prisons was even reported by the Times of London in 2016 Zelensky is presiding over an archipelago of gulags for working class men seeking to escape NATO's meat-grinder
Videos show that Ukrainian deserters were illegally imprisoned & tortured in secret prison of neo-Nazi-led Azov corps of National Guard of Ukraine near Kyiv. Several prisoners were reportedly killed. Azov is glorified & whitewashed by Umland, Shekhovtsov & Western media & politicians. Relatives of imprisoned attempted to storm prison.

The next 60 days are crucial. Trump's massive defeat last night cannot be allowed to translate to an insane escalation against Iran that tanks the global economy and sacrifices more innocent lives. The American people said NO TO WAR last night. They said NO to higher gas prices and NO to a renewed bombing campaign that would likely escalate out of control. We must ACT NOW. Call your congressmember and senators and DEMAND that they publicly call for an immediate moratorium on further US attacks on Iran and a full resumption of negotiations. Democratic along with Republican representatives need to stand together and demand NO NEW US STRIKES ON IRAN. The only path forward is a negotiated end to this madness. Call the US Capitol Switcboard at (202) 224-3121 to be connected to your House and Senate representatives. Call EVERYDAY until they speak out.

Being pro-Palestine is good politics and good policy. As we wait for more election results, we already know we have a strong slate heading to the Congress to fight for an end to US complicity in apartheid and genocide. The tides are shifting. Stop Arming Israel. Free Palestine.

⚡️ABDUL EL-SAYED: “WE DID IT!” Democrat Abdul El-Sayed declared victory in Michigan’s U.S. Senate race against Republican Mike Rogers, telling supporters in Detroit: “I am so proud and honored to stand here as your senator-elect.” Reflecting on the attacks against his name and Muslim faith, El-Sayed said: “They want an America that is too small for some of us. We know that America is big enough for all of us.” He thanked the Michiganders who welcomed him into their homes, churches and synagogues during 18 months of campaigning. LATEST RESULTS: El-Sayed leads Rogers 51.7% to 46.3%, a margin of more than 216,000 votes, with 79.8% of the expected vote counted.
EL-SAYED: And to all the parents who struggled to explain to their kids why the president openly mocks someone for their name or how they pray, let them know tomorrow that the bad guys lost.

One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up. So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us." Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026. There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true. But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone. Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were: 1) End the war 2) Focus on cost of living/inflation 3) Put America First 4) Change our relationship to Israel Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.) In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you. The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night. If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest. But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there. I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

The 2021 attack on Gaza was shorter than other major attacks. Several of us worked Congress to try to stop it and I believe it worked that time bc Sanders and AOC acted, see timeline. If I’m in Congress I’d be looking for such moves constantly. husseini.substack.com/p/did-…

“Most Americans Want to See an Increase in Taxes on the Wealthy and Corporations, Ending the Wars, and Congress Doesn’t Do That. Is That Because Congress Is Basically Bought and Paid For?” Watch me confronting two members of Congress who were targeting good government programs. Imagine what I could do in Congress.

The ACA was always a massive subsidy to the insurance industry and other narrow interests. We need enhanced Medicare for All. I’ve fought for it for over 30 years and would bring the fight to the House with a vengeance. If the government isn’t going to provide health coverage, then what’s the point of taxes?
