Judge Sands (M.D. Ga) granted our motion to permit 20 women detained at Irwin to file declarations using a pseudonym, as well as to file the declarations under seal. They detail horrific stories of abuse inside Irwin, and likely would not come to light without Judge Sands' order.
The First Amendment Clinic and Community HeLP Clinic represent one of the 22 women who came forward with their stories of abuse by Irwin officials and prepared the motion for sealing to protect all 22 women from being retaliated against for their speech. vice.com/en/article/n7vzjm/1…
