First baseman Ryan O’Hearn and the Pittsburgh Pirates are in agreement on a two-year, $29 million contract, sources tell ESPN. O’Hearn, 32, is the latest addition to the Pirates in a very busy winter. @ByRobertMurray was first on the news.

Welcome to Slam Marcos, @chrisrlangley12!

Braden Montgomery was someone who was making a lot of strides with his chase issues once he got to Texas A&M. His hit tool has regressed slightly for me as a pro prospect, & he’s seen time in CF but I would prefer him to man RF in the bigs. Here’s my updated report on him!

Here’s a look at your new arm #Nationals fans! @nats_prospects
GCU’s ace is off the board!
#Mariners pick up RHP Isaac Lyon in the 10th round.
Big time deceptive crossfire delivery from a 3/4 arm slot!
Sweeper is his best pitch but his cutter is a sneaky good offering. Good command east to west
Fun arm for the #Mariners
@MiLBMariners
Another excellent report here from @jyoonbase! Don’t forget to give him a follow for all the Pacific Rim coverage you need!
Replying to @jyoonbase
@jyoonbase has been hard at work this winter & drops another scouting report! This time he dives deep into Sung-Mun Song, a third base prospect from Korea! Check out what he has to say about him!

The preseason watch lists. As the season progresses, I will either move names onto my actual boards or redact them from these lists. If anyone has any other names, pls feel free to drop them below!
For anyone wondering, my watchlists are names who I believe have a shot to get either picked back end of the draft or sign NDFA, or for juco kids they’re guys who look like they could go D1 & potentially have some stock after a season there
Texas A&M’s Juan Vargas is a name I’m really looking forward to seeing this spring. Transferred from Tennessee Tech. Saw the Panamanian in the Aggies’ fall scrimmage vs TCU. Heater sat 94-96 in his inning of work. SL was 83-88 T: 89 with very good depth. Really good out pitch
Nathan Darden & Landon Grigg are 2 senior arms at Lamar on my watchlist. Grigg’s heater has been up to 93 & owns a cutter that’s approached 2500 RPM. Darden sat 93-96 T: 97 in 2025 for Texas A&M-CC
Bennett Fryman & Jacque Stewart are 2 guys at Texas State I’ll be looking at for the Bobcats this season. Saw Fryman a few times this season at Blinn. Showed an ability to hit. Both have put up loud EVs this fall
Jeric Curtis for Sam Houston is a guy on my watchlist I’m interested to see more of. Legit 70 speed. Good plate coverage in the fall. He’s a senior so a good season could see him back end of the draft or NDFA
@SportsofSHSU
@SamHoustonST
On the D1 side of the watchlist, if Matt Quintanar & Caden Ferraro put together strong seasons they could get looks. Q spent time at the MLB Draft league & shows some pop at the plate. Personally don’t see him sticking behind the plate. Ferraro showed nice pull-pop at Blinn
McLennan has a number of promising arms this season, & while Blinn had several guys go D1, they have 4 arms & a handful of bats who hold promise. Texas JUCO looks deep this season
Working on the watchlists portion of my area board…@SJRaven_BB is loaded
