Carney, the former Governor of the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England, serves as the Chair of Brookfield Asset Management. He has simultaneously been a central driving force behind the creation and diplomatic lobbying for the DSRB. Defence Security and Resiliance Bank a new, Canada-led multinational financial institution designed to provide financing for allied military, security, and resilience projects.
The DSRB is designed to act as a multinational "war bank" that leverages public backing to unlock massive amounts of private institutional capital. As one of the world's largest alternative asset managers, major financial players like Brookfield are structurally aligned with the bank's core mission to funnel private infrastructure and credit investments into allied defense supply chains.
Why are Canadian taxpayers buying Carney and Brookfield a bank?

Albertans who want to separate should pay attention to what Trump is doing to Venezuela.
His strategy is divide & conquer. He wants Alberta isolated from Canada. He wants us to hate each other.
Then the US will swoop in like a vulture & bleed Alberta dry & no one will help them

One of the most brutal scenes in human history has been leaked.
This is what the Gaza Strip has become after the war. Israeli soldiers boast about it. This is utter barbarity and savagery.
A video that the world must never forget.

Canada has six major taxpayer-funded Holocaust museums and dozens of smaller memorials.
But a one single museum opens one single exhibit on the Nakba and Zionist Jews all lose their shit.
It's the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. Do Palestinians not have human rights?
A taxpayer-funded museum in Canada is set to open a “Nakba” exhibition that presents a deeply one-sided narrative about Israel and the founding of the Jewish state.
Shurat HaDin is demanding answers and threatening legal action, arguing that publicly funded institutions should not promote political propaganda that erases Jewish history and fuels hostility against Israel.
Human rights museums should educate with context and integrity, not push divisive anti-Israel narratives.

Let me trace the timeline here because nobody's connecting it.
Step 1: Scrape the entire internet. Every book, every article, every conversation, every piece of art, every forum post. Do it without asking. Do it without paying.
Step 2: Train a model on all of it. Call it "artificial intelligence."
Step 3: Go to BlackRock's Infrastructure Summit and announce: "We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter."
Step 3 is where you sell people's own knowledge back to them. On a meter.
They took the collective output of human thought, compressed it into a model, and now they want to charge you by the token to access a version of what you and everyone you know already created.
One Reddit user put it perfectly: "They stole all this data from us, the people, our life's work, creativity, art, by devouring the internet and blowing through all copyright laws. Now they want to sell it back to us in the form of a utility."
Imagine if someone photocopied every book in the public library, burned the library down, and then opened a subscription service for the copies.
That's the metered intelligence business model.
And they're pitching it to infrastructure investors as though they invented water.

Israel deploys secret police unit to monitor and blacklist foreign journalists
——
The Israeli police force has established a specialized surveillance department inside the occupied West Bank tasked with tracking, profiling, and barring independent foreign journalists. Working in tandem with the Population and Immigration Authority at international crossings and the Allenby Bridge, the unit compiles detailed dossiers on reporters' published articles and social media activity to deny them entry. Internal documents leaked to Haaretz reveal that authorities formally blacklisted Italian freelance journalist Alessandro Stefanelli for exposing settler violence and offering what occupation officials labeled one-sided coverage, effectively criminalizing standard investigative reporting.
This specialized tracking unit marks a dangerous escalation in Israel's systematic campaign to fully block external scrutiny of its ongoing war crimes in the occupied territories. Foreign correspondents attempting to document the realities of the occupation are now routinely branded as state security threats and falsely accused of maintaining contact with so-called 'militants' if their coverage diverges from official military propaganda. Legal experts and press freedom advocates have condemned the apparatus as an authoritarian thought police designed to enforce a total media blackout by exploiting a compliant Israeli judicial system that rubber stamps the arbitrary revocations of press visas.
The surveillance dragnet complements an aggressive, long-standing blockade on independent media that has completely barred unescorted international journalists from entering the Gaza Strip since October 2023. While the Israeli Supreme Court continues to indefinitely delay petitions from global press bodies demanding open media access, occupation forces on the ground have carried out the deadliest targeted campaign against media workers in modern history. According to data from the Committee to Protect Journalists, the Israeli military has assassinated at least 263 Palestinian journalists and arbitrarily detained over a hundred more to permanently silence eyewitness accounts of the genocide.
"Reprimand" and "Administrative action", "guidance and oversight measures" but never discipline. A limited hangout if ever there was.

Farmer: "I've read the brochures."
Activist: "Best of both worlds."
Farmer: "The panels shade the sward. Productive species die back. What grows is what tolerates shade and compaction. Sheep won't finish on it."
Activist: "But the trials show it works."
Farmer: "The trials run three years and measure ewe presence. Not lamb growth rates. Not finishing weights. Not what the soil looks like in year fifteen."
Activist: "It's still better than nothing."
Farmer: "It's a 30% stocking rate, a steel frame I can't plough around, panel-cleaning chemicals running into the watercourse, and a 40-year lease I can't break."
Activist: "But you're getting energy AND lamb."
Farmer: "I'm getting a third of the lamb, a maintenance contract, and a field my grandson can't farm."
Activist: "You're being negative."
Farmer: "I'm watching a thousand-year-old way of feeding people get traded for twenty-five years of subsidised electricity. Negative would be the polite word."
