Amazon just revealed their new smart lock, and here's my initial take on what will definitely be a very popular device for Ring camera owners...
People are so confused as to what the pricing is and what they get. Cloud AI has a major issue. Just read the comments.
We’re renaming our Max plans:
Max 5x → Max
Max 20x → Ultra
Max is still $100/month, and Ultra is still $200. If you’re a subscriber, there’s nothing you need to do.
We’re also removing the 5-hour limit for verified Ultra accounts, starting today with most existing subscribers. Newer accounts keep a temporary limit until they’re verified, which helps us prevent fraud and abuse. You'll get an email when it's removed.
Weekly limits remain unchanged. View our plans here: claude.com/pricing
The most interesting release this time imo.
But isn’t that the Echo Spot?
This is one of my favorite launches today. Our new Echo Time was built for better sleep.
Set your alarm so it can detect when you’re in a light sleep and gradually start waking you up at the best time.
I’ve been missing this in New York this week! A loud phone alarm in a dark hotel room is tough after getting used to the wake-up experience on the Echo Time.

The comments say it all

Well, I bought @Apple Homeview. I feel like Canada is too expensive.
$450 to go pick it up from a store. Woof.

Is that the Apple Watch XXXXXXXXL?
Apple Homeview is official. $299
Going hands-on today, so ask me anything here!

Automaters! Apple just held its Welcome home event and they finally showed up with real smart home hardware, a smart display, a new Apple TV, a HomePod mini and a lineup of locks, cameras and thermostats... so let me walk you through what's worth it and what I'd actually buy
HomePod mini 2 lands at $149, and honestly the HomeView and mini pricing feels reasonable to me, while the Apple TV price is a stretch... so if your Apple TV already runs your home, I'd keep it and put that $299 toward a HomeView or some Matter gear
If you want the details straight from the source, here's Mark Gurman's coverage nitter.cf/markgurman/status/2109… and Apple Newsroom's announcements apple.com/newsroom/2026/10/i… and I'd love to hear what you're picking up
Official: Apple announces the $299 HomeView, a smart display for its revamped smart home strategy with facial recognition for personal content, Apple apps and FaceTime. bloomberg.com/news/features/…
