Mirror's Edge Mobile Remastered for Android (W10+ via AP)
Someone did a remastered port of the ipad version of Mirror's Edge Mobile which was released for iOS & Windows Phone a long time ago. Played the Windows Phone version when back when and it was good. This version is great.
Nameless Cat is great indie game that should have been released everywhere and not just Mobile. At least it can be played via APK app players on Windows too. New game is called FOR. Looks good, but will release until next year. Odd it has taken so long, but it a two guys dev team
I have beaten this horse to death on how bad Don't Nod got in the past few years. But the biggest blow to it was the extreme failure of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage as it was the studio most expensive game so far. Is why Tencent cut them off. Aphelion was just the last straw.
Don’t Nod, the studio behind the original Life is Strange, is collapsing.
The French developer is facing a near-total layoff, up to 85 jobs, which would leave its French teams with only a small number of employees.
The studio has struggled with a string of underperforming releases, the most recently the sci-fi adventure Aphelion.
Don’t Nod has warned that it may not have enough funding to continue operating beyond January 31, 2027, and has entered a French “safeguard” procedure to restructure its finances.
It has to be lineal if you want it to be like James Bond. But it could be made semi-open world if you make it like 24. Or it can be fully Open World if you make it like The Americans. Just you would be the one chasing for sleepers. This only tells Dan Houser wanted it like Bond.
Rockstar tried making an open-world spy game called Agent, but the project never came together.
Dan Houser says Rockstar had “two or three different teams” working on it, but they couldn’t figure out how to make the concept work.
“We tried with two or three different teams to make an open-world spy game and could not get it right, so it never came out.”
The biggest problem was the genre itself. Spy stories are built around urgency and constantly moving between distant locations, while open-world games encourage players to slow down and explore.
“The momentum of a spy story pushes you forward in time, whereas you want games to be a bit more spread-out.”
After trying several approaches, Rockstar eventually decided it was a game they weren’t going to figure out.
“Other people can try, but I personally think it’s hard.”
Good Ad, but why would I return to Firefox given how censorious and biased it is? Brave would not exist if that was not true. Only thing it has that Brave doesn't have is extensions on mobile. That is it. And @brave said to me that is coming soon.
Quantum Break (2016)
Finally played it and 100% it.
Really good in the context of the year it came out. Quite daring with the bundling of a show within game and having it be a two paths story. Skeleton of the first Control game can be felt here. An 8 for me. Is just too limited
Quiver Launcher 3.5.1 + Quiverlauncher.com
QL is the way to keep up & manage Recomps,Decomps + some ports in Windows, Linux and Android. With v3.5.1 is now good and anyone can also provide feedback to it with the official site for it. This week Android got to 100 titles.
Previously I thought Windows would get to 1000 ported titles by year end in general. Now it might get there just on Quiver Launcher out of 1500+ titles that will be floating around. Android should get to 175 on QL out of 350+ titles floating around. And that is just from 2026.
Netflix offer was crazy low for a deal that would basically lock Xbox to Netflix for close to a decade. Netflix spends 1 billion a year on just making actual filler programming no one watches. Xbox counter offer was also low. $1B was better. 700M would have been just OK.
