This is such a lovely shot. Would be fairly easy to create with ai, but we'd miss the joy of timing - a sense of the moment. Don't get me wrong - I love how ai is opening doors to new frontiers of creativity, but it's nice to know that sometimes you need to feel the craft to enjoy the product.
Should we double check for zeros behind the 7/8 line?? I mean sometimes when I empty the dryer I’m grand jury testimony sure that it’s empty but then upon a later return find a sock clinging to the side of the interior like a soldier caught behind enemy lines… just feels reckless to throw a fields medal into the otherwise empty lobby of a data center in Wyoming without a quick second pass is all I’m saying
I think this is the only physical product I ever named. It's a vegan version of Thousand Island. I still feel proud and obviously emotional (about dressing in general...)
AI is such a game changer in almost every category but one thing I struggle with is when I go to a sandwich place and order a sandwich and the nice people who makes the sandwiches make it, but it's constructed like a display sandwich meaning a lot of the interior parts of the sandwich will sit on one side, making it look really nice from one angle (it's not going to the Met Gala...) but desolate on the opposing side, fundamentally asymmetrical, meaning that all the stuff in the sandwich is now sitting in one side like a fishing vessel off the coast of Portugal with a broken ballast valve, making it super hard to get to the point of fractal exact self-similarity where every bit of the sandwich is the experienced full sandwich over time. Like hello glorious gherkin - why are we meeting now for the first time almost 45% into this sandwich experience.
The @BostonCollege Investment Committee (an LP and my beloved alma mater) asked for a few thoughts on what's happening in AI. I recorded a test run yesterday morning and then shared it with my partners, who encouraged me to share it more broadly... so here you go!
This is not a sales pitch, it's just a reflection on what we're seeing. And it wasn't intended to be shared, so please pardon the rough edges.

Few people know this but the european pixel (the pæxel) is 0.62 the size of the US pixel. Today the conversion is automated, but back in the days this is the tool we used for conversions.

Go work with Haris! Spectacular designer and wonderful human
We're hiring a graphic designer for the brand and media team at @Quartr_App.
First, I want to specify that this is a graphic design role, not a design engineer or product designer.
Second, you have taste, and more importantly, it aligns with ours. That second part matters. Look at what we make. You should recognize yourself in it.
You will work across earnings call posters (seen by millions each quarter), Edge (our newsletter with +220K subscribers), Ordinary Business (hosted and produced by @jacob__titus), and much more.
We value having fun when we design, going deep and sometimes nerdy, doing things in a new and sometimes very old way, but constantly pushing the boundaries on what has been built in our niche.
