📢 A major milestone for AXON: we are now registered with FINTRAC as a Money Services Business in Canada.
This marks an important step in our expansion into North America, establishing a regulatory foundation for our Canadian operations across foreign exchange, money transfers, virtual currency and payment service provider activities.
We’re building AXON to help banks, fintechs and businesses connect traditional banking, payment networks, stablecoins and digital assets through one orchestration layer. That means giving institutions the infrastructure to build, route, settle and manage financial operations across markets without rebuilding their systems every time they add a new provider or payment rail.
Delivering on that vision takes more than technology. It takes regulatory foundations, institutional relationships and infrastructure that can accommodate the requirements of each market.
Our FINTRAC registration is a significant step in that work as we move toward commercial deployment and expand our international footprint.
And there’s more ahead: our next registration is already in its final stages. We look forward to sharing more once it’s complete.
Thank you to our team, advisors and partners for their support in reaching this milestone. 👏
A payment can settle in seconds and still leave hours of work for the finance team.
Settlement speed matters. So do the records, visibility and reconciliation that follow.
That’s where AXON comes in.
Hamed Moussa is Chief Strategy Officer at AXON.
Background in Computer Science and AI, plus more than 17 years across IT, strategic planning, business development, and fintech growth strategy. His job is to connect what is technically possible with where AXON should compete—and turn complex market opportunities into clear priorities.
He brings structure and commercial judgment to the company’s next stage of growth.
The right payment rail depends on the job.
Where is the money going? In which currency? How quickly does it need to arrive? What can the recipient actually use?
AXON’s approach starts with those questions, connecting traditional and digital financial infrastructure.
For a business evaluating stablecoin payments, the useful questions are operational.
How will funds get in?
Who can receive them?
Where does conversion happen?
How does the payment appear in the company’s records?
The transfer itself sits inside a wider financial workflow. Its usefulness depends on how well it fits that workflow.
At AXON, we’re building the orchestration layer to connect traditional financial services with digital-asset infrastructure, so businesses can work across both.
Your customer has paid. Your supplier is still waiting.
Between those two moments, money may need to move across providers, currencies and banking hours. Your team needs to know where it is, what it will cost to move and when it will become available.
That’s why a successful payment is only one part of the picture.
For businesses operating across markets, the connections between collection, conversion and payout deserve as much attention as each transaction.
AXON is building financial infrastructure around those connections.
Why should a business wait days to move money across borders?
Our CEO and co-founder Malek Alzubi spoke to UAE Fintech Vibes about why we're building AXON what it takes to connect payment providers across markets.

Adding another payment provider should give a business more options without creating another disconnected operation.
That’s the problem financial orchestration needs to solve.
Banks, local payment networks and stablecoins will serve different needs.
Businesses need a practical way to work across them.
That’s the premise behind AXON: an orchestration layer connecting the financial infrastructure businesses rely on.
A business might collect through a local payment network, hold funds with a bank and pay an overseas supplier in stablecoins.
Each part can work well on its own. Connecting them is where the complexity begins.
AXON is building the orchestration layer for that journey.
Jonathan Farnell advises AXON on partnerships and policy affairs.
Former CEO of Binance UK. Former Group CEO of a NASDAQ-listed exchange. Currently CEO of Freedx in Dubai. His background spans payment services, regulatory engagement, tokenomics, and licensing—exactly the terrain that matters when building financial infrastructure across markets.
His guidance pushes AXON to be rigorous on partnerships, responsible growth, and the regulatory foundations institutional adoption requires.
Very excited to provide fintech rails and connect onchain and fiat payment infrastructures with @PiSquared.
The best payment rail depends on the job.
Cost, speed, currency, destination and recipient access all matter. A route that works for one corridor may be a poor fit for another.
Financial infrastructure needs to accommodate those differences.

We’re partnering with FAST, a network focused on payments and agentic payments, to explore connections between payment applications on FAST and banking and fiat payment infrastructure.
Here’s where we see the opportunity ↓
A payment can move onchain while the business receiving it needs local currency in a bank account.
Conversion, payout and settlement still need to happen. Supporting that journey means coordinating the network transaction with the financial providers handling the next steps.
Connecting a payment provider is the first job. Handling its pending payments, returns, status updates and settlement reports is the ongoing one.
AXON is building an orchestration layer for banks, fintechs and businesses operating across those systems.
Dr. Saeed Abu-Nimeh advises AXON on cybersecurity.
More than 20 years in fraud prevention and advanced threat detection, including senior roles at PayPal, Websense, and SecLytics. He treats security as core financial infrastructure—not an afterthought.
As AXON builds the orchestration layer for multi-rail payments, his guidance supports the trust, resilience, and risk discipline institutions expect.
More ways to move money shouldn’t mean more systems to manage. AXON is building the orchestration layer to bring them together.
