Yesterday, it was a privilege to visit @B2RFarms' Goshen land, and what an inspiring learning experience!
The farm is putting conservation agriculture into practice, demonstrating how farmers can protect their soil, make better use of available resources, and build more sustainable and productive farming systems.
One of the highlights was seeing the upland rice 🌾 looking amazing at this stage of the season. It was a great reminder that sustainable agriculture is not only about producing more, it is also about caring for the land that will feed future generations.
Another impressive aspect was seeing the land preparation nearing completion and getting ready for planting using conservation agriculture practices. Seeing these approaches in the field makes it easier to understand how good land management can contribute to long-term soil health, productivity, and resilience.
What makes B2R Farms special is the opportunity to learn by seeing these practices in action from the field and land preparation to the broader farm management approach.
If you are passionate about agriculture, sustainability, food security, or conservation agriculture, I encourage you to visit B2R Farms Goshen and learn from what they are doing.
Come, see, learn, and take something back to your own farming journey.

Could rice grow beyond Rwanda’s marshlands? B2R Farms is piloting upland rice on hillsides using natural rainfall. Early results are encouraging and could open new opportunities to expand rice production, strengthen food security and create opportunities for farmers.
At Kaboku Cooperative in @NyagatareDistr, mucuna is growing well and providing farmers with mulch as they prepare to plant maize.
A simple Conservation Agriculture practice: using what’s already growing on the farm to protect and improve the soil.
