#ODSP payments are $14k a year below the poverty line of Toronto? With rising costs & inflation at 5.4%, how are people supposed to survive? It is time for a change! #FairShake #YourMoveOntario #RaiseTheRates @ScioAdvocacy @DS_XUniversity @CIL_Toronto @ODSPAction @JoelHardenONDP

I was at the reading of the budget. It’s time we stop giving billionaires, bns. At least $12 bn to the 🚘 sector. #GM got $6 bn, when profits have risen 50% since 2020, $17 bn in 2022. Why not Healthcare/ODSP/IND Living? @JoelHardenONDP @JohnFraserOS @fordnation Thoughts #onpoli

Not a dime for existing transit in #OntarioBudget2023. $70 bn for LRTs that are over budget and late, but existing subways and buses get cut. This is great for consultants, and bad for #Ontario. We will expose this. #onpoli

Imagine! Betwn 2011 & 2016, Canada lost 322,000 #AffordableHousing units in rental market. Affordable in this case is defined as rental units under $750 a month. Most of the loss is related to financialization.(Housing expert, Steve Pomeroy) #Right2Housing theglobeandmail.com/real-est…

The only time either the provincial or federal government “cares” about people with disabilities is during an election. They forget that they too will one day be disabled.
5.8 million Canadians can’t access the food they need. And 50% of them have a disability. That’s why we support the creation of the Canada Disability Benefit, which would provide the income needed to put food on the table. For more info: feedopportunity.com/
Yes, @DrFullertonMPP will you?
Replying to @JessicaBellTO
Minister @DrFullertonMPP - will you join us so you too can understand how unlivable this diet is, and raise the rates?
This is amazing and sad at the same time, no one should live on less than seven dollars a day. With the price of produce and fresh vegetables this is impossible. @fordnation Will never do this, never.
To pressure the PC government to double social assistance, myself and my MPP colleagues are living on a “welfare diet” grocery budget of $47.60 a week. We encourage the Minister of Social Services Merrilee Fullerton to join us and double the rates. #onpoli
This makes me angry. You really are turning this into America @fordnation
Type 2 diabetic now. I need 156 lancets per year (3 a week) and 100 are covered. I need the same number of test strips and only 100 covered. I need 52 needles to administer medication once a week which I have to pay for. Ought to be covered! Just payed 65.00 so no food $$ left.

This is on the same lines of now having to pay for bloodwork when screening for cancer. @fordnation ruining our province, maximizing their profits and giving money to billionaires. Good job Ontario.

Housing model broken for people on fixed incomes "Ppl on fixed incomes (i.e. #ODSP) are finding it harder to get by each month, which can lead to anxiety-induced panic & fear of ending up homeless" #AffordableHousing #HousingCrisis #ONpoli @DrFullertonMPP stcatharinesstandard.ca/news…

Today I was at City Hall with @ArielTroster and @cmckenney talking to folks about the need for public accessible washrooms downtown The lack of public washrooms is a major accessibility concern - huge thanks to @GottaGoCampaign for their advocacy on this

The systemic dismantling of our public healthcare system will never be acceptable. We need to #RepealBill124 and invest more in our frontline healthcare workers.
