$BTC volatility has fallen to levels last seen in summer 2023, according to @glassnode.
The pattern mirrors 2023: a rally, a meme coin and altcoin frenzy, followed by a quieter market.
Is Bitcoin entering another period of consolidation?
BTC touched $81K and retraced with tech. Nothing unusual about that.
Crypto is part of the global macro, and it moves with the Fed, earnings, oil and ETF flows like any major asset. The platforms that win will be built for that reality, with crypto, stocks and commodities in one place.
That’s the market we operate in, and it’s the one we build for.
The old wall between “crypto” and “traditional” markets doesn’t make much sense to the people actually trading today. They follow oil, chips and crypto in the same breath, so the platform should too.
One bad week doesn’t end altseason, but it does test it.
Per 10x Research, 78% of tokens are still above their 200-day MA (up from 14% three months ago), yet money is rotating back to Bitcoin.
Breadth is up, but liquidity is thin.
A basket of 141 altcoins fell an average of 14% last week, per 10x Research, while Bitcoin slipped only about 3%.
Falling volumes, shrinking stablecoin supply, and spot ETF outflows point to thinner liquidity, and capital is getting pickier. That doesn’t mean altseason is over, but a rebound needs stronger spot demand and wider participation than we’re seeing now.
