Prince was the most underrated and under-appreciated guitarist of alltime...ask someone about Prince and they say "Purple Rain"...ask me and I say "the one guitarist I can watch play for an hour"...this, coming from somone that played guitar and Eddie Van Halen lived in the private enclave 200 yards from home...and while I loved much of his work and incredible talent....'eruption' would bore me after 3 minutes...not because it wasn't amazing...because it wasn't music. Yet, much respect. It's just that I'd rather hear what Prince could get out of a guitar.

Best concert opening ever. Smashing Pumpkins, Denver. During a stunning graphic opening, the 60 foot curtain slowly opens and Corgan walks slowly step by step with acoustic guitar, approaching front and center. Crowd goes crazy. I was there and it’s unforgettable . He gets close to the mic and opens chords to DISARM. The orchestration plays and as he sings, there’s a video screen playing images when he’s a kid. It’s incredible. Enjoy. Best opening ever. Alone playing one of most powerful songs ever written. His voice sounds the best I’ve ever heard as well. One Of These Days’ - live at Earls Court. Pink Floyd Must watch and marvel at David Gilmour’s work on the steel guitar. Seeing him grimace towards the late Richard Wright on keyboards at 1:13 and 1:33….he knows they’re about to blow the roof off. Please turn this up as loud as you can. Please get thru 2:10 to 3:50 lull. At 3:55 you’ll be richly rewarded. At 6:05 Gilmour looks at the cameraman and smiles, knowing he’s capturing a historical moment in 1994…as music would greatly deteriorate in all ways in the coming years and he’d never again witness anything like this.
