Warning! Lots of text about #Hytale lore. Let's talk about the Enkindled, Crucible, and the Burnt today: what they are, followed by a few little bonuses at the end. Enkindled - this is the name of a civilization. In Chapter 1, we get four new notes called "Enkindled Notes", "Enkindled Journals", or "The Enkindled Ledger", which give us little fragments of this civilization's history. In other words, they're not Crucible or Burnt journals, but specifically Enkindled. Crucible - this was a massive artisan city belonging to the Enkindled. The description of the Adamantite Ingot reads: "This rare metal was once instrumental to the advancements made by the peoples of Crucible. Though little remains of the city's former splendor..." The description of Fire Essence reads: "This energy once gave form to the dreams of Crucible's artisans..." Burnt — this is the name given to the skeletons currently living in Zone 4, the Devastated Lands. They possess advanced equipment and weapons. They are what the Enkindled people became after the Cataclysm. Let's summarize: there was once an advanced human civilization known as the Enkindled. They had a massive, highly developed city called Crucible, which may have been their capital. Then, after the Cataclysm, its inhabitants became the Burnt. So far, everything seems to fit together, right? But I'm interested in the role of the Revenant Guardian and the Burnt Skeleton Praetorian within the Enkindled civilization. Both are clearly more than ordinary skeleton soldiers. However, take a closer look at the Revenant Guardian's appearance. It doesn't look "Burnt" (sorry for the pun). It has better equipment and weapons, and it's stronger than the Burnt Skeleton Praetorian. Yet we encounter only a few of them in The Guttering Hollows, whereas Burnt Skeleton Praetorians can be found even in Zone 1. With all this in mind, I have two theories. 1. The Burnt Skeleton Praetorian was a regular, high-ranking soldier. My first theory is that Burnt Skeleton Praetorians were powerful soldier-captains from whose ranks members were recruited into a more elite "Guard". 2. Why aren't the Revenant Guardian and certain other skeletons literally Burnt, either in their names or in appearance, while some skeletons are actually called Incandescent? My theory is that this is connected to the Enkindled people's faith in the Bearer of Fire. The stronger someone's faith, the more thoroughly they were transformed by the Cataclysm. The Cataclysm itself was called the Cursed Flame, as we learn from the description of Cindercloth Scraps: "When the cursed flame scoured Crucible it left nothing unchanged. Even these scraps of fabric - salvaged from the charred bones of a former denizen - continue to emit an uncanny heat". Of course, faith wasn't the only factor determining how *Burnt* someone became. Distance from the epicenter of the Cataclysm also played a major role. In Zone 4, we encounter creatures such as Bleached Hounds, Skeleton Horses, undead animals, and other beings that couldn't have possessed faith. So, why aren't the Revenant Guardians Burnt? They were fighting in the Great War and helped secure victory, as mentioned in their description: "The term "Guardian" was once synonymous with safety to towns and villages throughout Orbis, and the elite amongst their numbers were revered by the populace for generations. It was in part through their valor that the Great War was won - though even they were powerless in the face of what followed." Therefore, during the cataclysm, they were far from the epicenter of the cataclysm. Consequently, they weren't affected as severely as the Praetorians who defended Crucible and were right at the epicenter. This would also explain why ordinary skeletons, which we can find almost everywhere except Zone 4, aren't Burnt: they were far away from the Cataclysm's epicenter. BUT there's something interesting here. Deep within Zone 1, we can find Incandescent skeletons. They weren't directly at the epicenter of the Cataclysm, but they had an immense amount of faith in the Bearer of Fire. As a result, they didn't just become Burnt — they literally became Incandescent. Interestingly, we can also find them on the surface of Zone 4, which is consistent with this theory. But why did all humans become skeletons in the first place? Because they all originate from the Enkindled civilization. Although they spread across the world into the Howling Sands, Emerald Wilds, and Whisperfrost Frontiers, their faith in the Bearer of Fire may have weakened or even disappeared entirely. Nevertheless, they remained one people, which is why the Cataclysm affected every member of their race. Alright, now for the bonuses. In Update 7, the Gaia symbol was changed to the Bearer of Fire symbol (or simply the Fire symbol) not only on the Statue of an Ancient Guardian, but also on the models of Burnt and Incandescent Skeletons. (Photos below.) Also, in Update 7, the Blunderbuss and Rusty Blunderbuss became fully functional weapons. Firing them consumes 50 mana and deals 200 damage per shot. They even have shooting and projectile flight animations, so you can jump into Creative Mode and test them out yourself. Personally, I don't believe these changes to the models and weapons were made "just because". You can take this @flash_canadian

They updated the Harvest Trophy model in Update 7 and turned the leaves red to fit an autumn theme! Huge respect for the attention to detail! #Hytale

I’ve been thinking lately about the runic sword currently in the game and how it could be implemented. The idea is for the weapon itself to have relatively low physical damage—roughly on par with an iron sword, which seems about right. However, it would provide a significant boost to damage and rune cooldown reduction, along with increased mana regeneration. This would create a new combat experience centered on a "rune + weapon" dynamic, rather than the current "weapon + rune" approach. It might even challenge the dominance of daggers—who knows? In any case, I really like this concept.

An interesting observation—is the Kyros we see a ghost? I just compared the models of the Shrouded Figure and the Wraith. 🧐

I took a closer look at the new regions added in Update 8 Pre-Release 1, hoping to find something interesting. A total of five biomes were added: "Added the Seedling Woods region for Adventure 1.0, with five new biomes. Deeproot, Verdant Forest, Kweebec Forest, Ravaged Groves and Runic Forest are reachable through the instances command rather than normal world generation." The one that caught my attention the most was Ravaged Groves, with its destroyed settlements. In one of its possible generations, you can find a church bearing the Burnt symbol (or the Bearer of Fire symbol, or simply the symbol of Fire), along with Statues of an Ancient Guardian featuring that very same symbol on their shields. I also think the new Trork settlements are fantastic! The primitive statues of giant animals on top of their homes remind me of the enormous piles of bones we can find in the Echoes of Orbis. I really hope we'll get to see these creatures alive someday. BUT what I loved the most is THE ROADS. They add SO much realism and, consequently, immersion to the world. It's simply WOW. 🤯 #hytale

#Hytale And the last thing I’ll show today is a simplified way to deal with the elite mob, Featmaster. At the very beginning of the battle, you need to stand behind piles of junk and food (from which goblins with food and bombs will emerge), and do this with each one in turn so that Featmaster breaks them all and then you can easily deal with him because he won't be healed.

#Hytale That’s a shame... Update 8 Pre-release 1: "Goblins have blocked off some unintended paths in The Deepworks." I intended to show you this later, but so be it—no lore today, but I do have a guide on how to get outside the bounds of The Deepworks, plus something interesting at the end. I don’t like theorizing without factual backing, but this is the only structure located outside The Deepworks, and it’s a clear hint... @ReaToJa, is there something we’re supposed to know?

No bugs, no glitches—everything in the vanilla game, with no OP.

#Hytale Well then, let me show you all the interesting things I’ve spotted in The Deepworks. I sing praises to the builders, the work they did is colossal and it's clear how much soul was put into it. Before you repeat what I will show you below, you need to have the animal transformation potion with you, the cheapest potion is the dog transformation potion, which I will use later because what is placed cannot be picked up. Just think about it, they implemented the animal transformation potion here...it's brilliant. In the end, we get a chest with richer loot than usual.

Looks like you enjoyed my last post, so alright, let's dig a little deeper! #Hytale Yesterday, I said I'd present counterarguments to the claim that the Orbis Officers were not reworked into Guardians. I'll cover that below, along with a few bonus discoveries about Chapter 1. Before we get into all of that, I want to draw your attention to a section of Hytale's blog post published on January 8, 2026 — just five days before Early Access launched. Specifically, the final paragraph: "Only when you - the players - step into the Echoes of Orbis for the first time, can we finally and truly say that Hytale's lore has crystallized into canon." To clarify, the worlds we're currently playing in are the Echoes of Orbis, not Orbis itself — with the exception of Chapter 1 (The Deepworks) and the Fragment Key. This means that what we see today, and what we saw when Early Access launched on January 13, 2026, is canon. I'll leave a link to the blog post at the very end. Let's start with the Orbis Officer. The paragraph we're interested in from that blog post is: "This draft also retains many of the major aspects of the lore the community has come to love over the years - characters such as Gaia and Varyn are still very much a part of our canon, and Tessa and Kyros are coming back as well." This officially confirms that Tessa and Kyros will return to the game, which makes me even more confident in the theory about Kyros I shared in my previous post. But there's something else I want to focus on here: the insignias on the armor and the emblem on the shield. They're all connected to Gaia. And here's why this is particularly interesting right now. In Update 7, the model of the Statue of an Ancient Guardian was changed — specifically, the emblem on its shield. Gaia's symbol was replaced with the Burnt symbol (or the Bearer of Fire symbol, or simply the symbol of Fire). This was done intentionally and ahead of time to prevent us from confusing the Guardian with the Orbis Officer in the future. The Guardians originate from the Burnt faction, while the Orbis Officer is connected to Gaia, Varyn, and Orbis as a whole. Now, let's move on to some interesting discoveries about Chapter 1! Development of Chapter 1 continued right up until the launch of Early Access. I'm attaching concept art from the same January 8 blog post, featuring goblins. We can see early goblin concept art, but two things stand out to me. The first is the pink color scheme we're familiar with today. The second is... cheese. Yes, that's right. CHEESE. 🧀 Has anyone taken a closer look at the Gobliterator Core? Another interesting detail is that the Goblin Flamethrower was added to Creative Mode in Update 3, more than six months before Chapter 1 launched. In other words, this was a VERY early hint at Chapter 1! And considering all of this, I have a question for @Simon_Hypixel Alongside the Goblin Duke, will we also get to meet the street-artist Goblin who decorated The Deepworks so beautifully with his graffiti? I'm attaching a link to Simon's reply about the Goblin Duke, and I've also highlighted the E04 goblin concept art. Link to the January 8, 2026 blog post: hytale.com/news/2026/1/a-loo… I've also taken the feedback from the comments on my previous post about YouTubers into account. @BrokenColdBox @KweebecCorner @Prowl8413 @flash_canadian Feel free to use all the information I'm sharing in these posts, guys! Make videos, spread the word, and help popularize Hytale. That's all I want. Wait for the next post

#Hytale Hey @Simon_Hypixel! I found something interesting and wanted to ask a few questions: 1. When will we get to see Tessa? Because it's pretty clear that we've already seen Kyros. 👀 I'm attaching screenshots of the Shrouded Figure model alongside the 2019 concept art with your comments. The resemblance seems pretty obvious to me. 2. The Bearer of Fire Statue has the same V-shaped eye slit, which surely can't be a coincidence. It also has a hood and a cracked staff that looks similar to the Shrouded Figure's staff, but in a different form. 3. Is it possible that Kyros became a deity to the Burnt long ago, only to eventually bring about their downfall? I'm also tagging some popular Hytale lore YouTubers so they can take a look and weigh in, because the similarities are hard to miss once you notice them: @BrokenColdBox @KweebecCorner @Prowl8413 P.S. I've got a few more questions and some other interesting findings lined up. I'll share them soon!
