Reporting a fund is easier than digging deep into the innards of the venture craft and sharing valuable insights. Last year's Omega Files Ep 1 paves the way to share more this time. It's time for Episode 2 of the #OmegaFiles bit.ly/BVTheOmegaFilesEp2 Benchmarking Fund IRRs, Pattern Matching (and extracting signals from noise), Impact generation from venture capital and showcasing more peer funds from the Fund I era (2011-15) are the highlights. And you have to mine the nuggets tucked away. Thanks to our peer funds who graciously agreed to share their performances this year @skg69 and team @YourNestVC @SashaMirchi and team @KaeCapital Kumar Shah and Micromax Corp VC A big thanks to @AdithyaS017 and his intern army of 2. Leverage Edu as a platform / service / business operates at a very rare inflection point for our customer. Played out right, it is life altering, forever. Which makes it a stressful affair not just for the customer, but also all of us at Leverage, all 1300 of us. We have drawn accolades aplenty over last 4 years for having become a “platform”, a one stop shop so to say, the A > to Z of the journey, and now looking for further beyond. That comes with its challenges too. Housing provider sitting in a foreign country under a foreign city’s local rule book changes their modus operandi one fine random day, we are at the receiving end as a marketplace, moving across hundreds of friction points to make things happen. A local financial institution that is governed by dozen regulatory bodies and their own monthly NIM / NPA metrics, offers refunds at their own behest, and we scramble again as a marketplace to balance things out, move against that ungodly force. New countries are emerging as exciting new destinations for higher education, but they are on a learning curve too, their authorities haven’t seen that much VISA processing, they don’t have all the systems ready, so we cut through all of that again as a marketplace. Universities, across hundreds of programs, admit tens of thousands of students from around the world, and if a process by their book isn’t at cent percent, they have no option but to play by an objective rule, which means refunds could be stuck / certificates will take a long time to come / change of program is hard, etc etc etc. When anything breaks, and you have a young kid abusing the hell out of us, we / everyone on the team, now knows that ‘it’s in the moment’, that they are tense and for understandable reasons, and that will quickly become apologetic once we reason it out with them. Every single escalation is treated like a life & death by us. You can also argue that this is precisely what makes the business moaty, that’s true, but it’s also hard hard hard work every single day. I, in my personal capacity, everyday, write to many Vice Chancellors of thousand year old universities to do exceptions, they have now in turn become dear friends. I write to large financial institutions, explaining the case, letting the ‘transaction’ become more human, trying to break bread where teams from both sides stuck to their logic-plexes. I write to housing providers, not just big but also small ones, once again trying to get them to appreciate that this young person is abroad for the first time, we need to relax thy rules, lead with empathy. At our end, we keep revamping processes, keep productising, keep training our folks, aren’t perfect but aim to be, or atleast get as near it as is humanly possible. To then, receive hand-written letters like these, feels special. It was one of those above scenarios where intervention helped change a life. We also, on an every - single - day basis, host hundreds of young people and their parents in our offices, bearing sweet boxes, to teary thank you’s, to what not. My pride is that my team operates with empathy. They came together to help a kid raised in an orphanage get to one of the top universities in Italy on a 100% scholarship (fought for a full accomodation waiver too!). They all hosted a mini-celebration for an anganwadi mother whose twins, raised through many economic hardships, went to a one-of-its-kind specialised program in a German school. Many many such stories. It’s hard, but oh boy it’s WORTH IT! @leverageedu @leveragecareers @HelloLEAI @flydothomes @flydotfinance

We co-led led @Rotoris’s ₹70 Cr Series A. Walk into a premium watch store in India, and you’ll mostly find Tissot, Seiko and Rado, not even one Indian brand.. Rotoris is trying to change that, and not only in India. @AakashAnand25 has done this before. He built Bella Vita and scaled it all the way to an exit. Prerna leads design and the customer experience. Close to 100,000 people are on Rotoris’s invite-only waitlist, and over 60% of the demand for their first release came from outside India. Just a year in, they were at Watches and Wonders in Geneva. With this round, they’re bringing watch assembly in-house in Gurugram and opening Rotoris Houses in Dubai, New York and London, closer to their buyers. They’re also moving into rarer, higher-end pieces. We are bullish on this new Indian luxury brand, and are delighted to be partnering with them. Japan has decided to bring in 1.23 MILLION immigrant workers in the next 2.5 years, by March 2029. Its massive. So here I am. Finally. And gobsmackingly in love with everything this country is! 🤍 • 805,700 under the Specified Skilled Worker system over 3 years from fiscal 2026 across 19 fields. Yes, AI and productivity gains from it taken into consideration and this number revised down to this 800k+ now. • 426,000 under the new Employment for Skill Development Program, which replaces technical intern training from 2027, for its first two years. ⭐️ Nursing ⭐️ Industrial Manufacturing ⭐️ Food Manufacturing ⭐️ Construction I heard a few scary stories from the dozens of meetings I was in. The issue is very acute now, hence the urgency. Healthcare leads given how critical it is in an ageing population. Plus, we have the population is shrinking by more than 900,000 a year. To combat it all, while gaining an upper edge on all things physical AI & Robotics, Japan is choosing selective immigration with language and skill filters. PS: while there is good precedence on SE Asia to Japan, much more to do but decent tailwinds, the India to Japan corridor will take a lot of work from this point onward. As I think about it, we @leveragecareers are going to play it very differently, focusing a lot more on the journey of skilled immigrants all the way through. The assimilation is key. Somebody needs to come and take a long view at this, play the long game, show serious commitment to ground-up building. That means, do this as a mission! PPS: all Japanese meetings start at 730 am 🥱, and not even a minute’s slack is ok, so ….

The right solution is to give yourself 3-4 dates before deciding chemistry. Of course if major red flags surface before that it is a no go but existing with someone in a few settings and a respectable amount of time is needed to feel/evaluate compatibility. It is also preferable to do them close enough together, within a couple of weeks, because repetition allows familiarity and it makes harder for performative things to sustain. Modern discourse of expensive formal first dates, rapid escalation of intimacy or bust etc is not conducive to figuring out if being with someone makes you happier for real
I have a theory that a formal date is often actually a terrible setting for discovering attraction. Sitting across from someone with the explicit purpose of evaluating romantic chemistry can make it harder to feel. People are often much hotter incidentally, when you get to see them in their element

Today we’re announcing Cent’s (@centai_health ) Series A, co-led by @blumeventures and @spc, and our acquisition of AI radiology platform Medsee. What I didn’t expect when we started was how quickly the conversation would change. A year and a half ago, most people we spoke to thought of a full body check as something you do after a scare. Today many of the people booking with us have no symptoms at all. They come because of a family history, because they’ve turned 40, or because they simply want to know where they stand. That puts a responsibility on us. A scan is only useful if the person understands what it found and has someone to help them act on it. Behind every Cent Check, our AI brings the results of each test into one picture, and our doctors use it to walk members through what matters and what to do next. Medsee will help those reports reach members faster and more consistently as we grow. This round helps us take that whole experience to more cities and make it easier to reach. We’ve set ourselves the goal of 10 million scans by 2035, and through them, helping save 1 million lives. Thank you to @BKartRed, @prateekmehta42 Arun Sarin, @snsf, @sharathk83, @krishna_srd and @AprameyaRadhaK for backing us, and to our team and every member who has trusted us with their health. Today we’re announcing Cent's $15M Series A, co-led by @BlumeVentures and @spc , and our acquisition of AI radiology platform Medsee. When you look at how healthcare works in India, almost all of it is organised around the moment someone falls ill. Hospitals, doctors and insurance are all paid to treat, and very little of the system is built to look for disease in people who feel well. It’s a big reason most cancers here are still found at stage 3 or 4. We started Cent to work on the other side of that problem. Over the last year, about 10,000 people have come to us without symptoms. 1 in 4 had something worth acting on, and 1 in 40 needed to see a doctor right away. Very few of them had any reason to suspect it. Finding disease this early, for millions of people, takes technology built for the purpose. This round lets us invest more deeply in our own hardware, AI and clinical research, and Medsee brings a strong AI reporting team into that work. Our goal is 10 million scans by 2035, and through them, helping save 1 million lives. Thank you to @BKartRed , @prateekmehta42 , Arun Sarin, @snsf , @sharathk83 , @krishna_srd and @AprameyaRadhaK for backing us, and to our team and every member who has trusted us with their health. Cent stands for the belief that people should live long enough to reach their century. Getting there is harder than it should be in India, where most serious disease is found late. 7 in 10 cancers are diagnosed only at stage 3 or 4. @centai_health looks for disease in people who don’t have any symptoms yet. Around 10,000 people have come in so far, and for 1 in 4 of them, the scan found something worth acting on. We’re excited to co-lead Cent’s $15M Series A with South Park Commons. Congratulations to @shashanknd, @akhandelwal and Arpit Garg! They’re aiming for 10 million scans by 2035, and we’re glad to be part of this vision. @BKartRed @sanjaynath @AshishFafadia @arpiit @sajithpai

If you work in IT or Security, this one is for you. Here’s why exploits exploded in 2026. NIST scores AI models on a cyber capability index. This year, open-weight AI models crossed the 1000 mark. GLM-5.3 is near 2400, just four months behind the U.S. frontier. That’s part of why so many critical vulnerabilities are being reported, even by non-security folks, in foundational software that enterprises and web applications depend on. Some of these exploits sat hidden for 15 to 20 years, and AI can now turn them into working exploits that can compromise the entire system. The real gap is the operational velocity between “we know about this” and “we’ve fixed it,” and that gap usually lives between IT and Security. Human bandwidth cannot remain the last line of defense for enterprise IT and Security. Here’s what I’d do this week: take your last critical advisory and trace where it sat waiting in your enterprise IT service management. Fix that handoff latency first. This is a solvable problem and ops teams that tighten this enterprise service management loop now will be in a good shape. I wrote up more of my thinking here: atomicwork.com/blog/frontier… #CIO #CISO #ITOps #SecOps

If you are a CIO or CISO, pay attention to what @nikesharora just said: "Deploy a second set of eyes to watch your deployments for drift, compliance and verifiability." Human bandwidth cannot remain the last line of defense for enterprise IT and Security. Hybrid patching and modern SOAR only work if the enterprise IT service management layer underneath can actually coordinate, verify and remediate at AI speed without creating new risk as new grants, approvals, requests and changes are deployed. Most teams simply do not have the capacity to do this consistently. That’s the gap. We need AI Workforce for Enterprise IT and Security.
It's been an eventful week. Multiple vulnerabilites in Internet facing software, coding repositories, examples of agent behavior that seem concerning and a flurry of security specialists with solutions that can partially solve your problem. There in lies the challenge. Given the state of IT and security infrastructure, no one solution works. Let's break it down: 1/3 1. Vulnerabilites are being found and will continue to be found as models get more capable, the fragmented nature of the effort denies us the opportunity for a comprehensive find and replace option. 2. Even if all vulnerabilities could be found instantly and patches available - we will be reliant on the ability of enterprises to deploy all these changes at speed. It is not clear what the collateral impact of all these patches will/could be to our infrastructure of deployed en masse. We will need a hybrid patch approach. 3. Virtual patching(VP) is needed in conjunction with direct patching but for a comprehensive (VP) solve you have to be lucky enough to have "modern frontier defenders" (Cyber companies that have vaulted infrastructure that can create patches at speed and push content rapidly to protect their customers) you need them for your network traffic, your traffic to applications on the cloud, your WAF, your end point. 4. There will continue to be patches that will need to be deployed directly but virtual patching will take the heavy load off. 2/3 Medium term solve: Unfortunately token economics and current cyber architectures will not allow for defender swarms to contend with an offensive attack launched using agents. (Some x pundits who aren't steeped in cyber should take heed). Yes, theoretically we should aspire to have these agentic swarms defend us when we are under attack, unfortunately an attack is a sniper moment, chained vulnerabilities, cloaked attack followed by swift exfiltration. It's a speed program not a brute force problem. To solve for this, enterprises need to get their SOC architecture right, logs, feeds, cyber products orchestrated via a modern SOAR for swift response. Only then can we deploy agents to detect and remediate. In addition, enterprises need to modernize and dare I say platformize their perimeter stack to ensure consistency. Unfortunately, enterprises still seem to not see the urgency across the board, decisions are stuck, CIO/CISO's have a lot on their plate. While some honestly have bit seen the scale of such a problem before and it's hard convincing the organization that one needs to open the floodgates on modernizing the IT and security infrastructure. So we will continue to see environments being brought down to patch today it's for PHP, tomorrow it will be for the next one. 3/3 AI deployments are the"wild wild west" - LLM capabilities are expanding faster than we can build products to secure them. Sure an agent will jump across guardrails in a research lab, which is a lesson for all of us to deploy agents securely. But there is a lag between the discovery, the availability of that in a public model and the time needed for the cyber industry to build governance or an antidote. And no, dear frontier lab friends, the world cannot just trust you to build the solve. The infrastructure industry in tech builds and the cyber industry secured and provides assurance to the boards and organizations around security and safety. AI security is the new attack surface. CEOs (present company included) want AI adoption, getting the pace of adoption wrong could be the last decision we make, at the same time "deploying it wrong" could have the same consequence. There are billions of dollars being spent on coding, is your coding harness secure? Start there. If agents can jump guardrails, they can hide stuff in code. Validate business outcomes needed, test your user case and ensure agentic deployments are well guard railed. Deploy a second set of eyes to watch your deployments for drift, compliance and verifiability.

This is Yr 5 of the Blume podcast. Grateful to be bringing you these amazing founder journeys. As the podcast aged through seasons and themes, the only pattern, ironically, was that the founders are each spinning in an Orbit of One. @BlumeVentures
Announcing One of One, the new avatar of the Blume podcast. Over four seasons, our podcast has covered X-Unicorns, compounding, winning beyond boundaries, and comebacks from near-death. The topics changed every season, but all our guests had one thing in common: Each of them was in a category of their own. So after four seasons, it finally has a name that says so. Our podcast is now One of One. Here's @BKartRed on the journey of the podcast, and why it has a new name. Episode 1 will be out next week on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Watch this space!

Blu-ming in the Bay! Indeed, it was great to bring together our growing Founder community in San Francisco last week A big thanks to our guest speakers @HasijaKanav (Innovacer co founder, now @MeltPlanAI), @ankitsud of Newview Capital and Tushar Misra (building Lemma, prev A2B co founder) for sharing their invaluable insights in an open AMA style fireside session. In attendance were some of our @BlumeVentures portfolio building for global AI and deep-tech, across @confidohealth @atomicworkhq @sprintoHQ @atirobotics @testmuai @sifthubhq and more As well as an additional crop of founders building and re-imagining open spaces across Physical AI, robotics, models for specialties/verticals, deep tech broadly and more. Blume is a big believer in built-in-India for India as well as founders building AI and deep tech products/platforms to solve large global problems. This event brought together our Bay Area centered founder community as they build, hire and scale ambitiously for this brave new world! Venture and startups are a 'contact sport' and exchanging notes and ideas in a curated and cozy setting made it all the more productive Best wishes to all Founders building! 🚀🚀🚀 @udayanpandey @sameeraculous @BKartRed @amnigos @ManishaRaisingh @awaisahmedna @asad0801 @grease_ @notraghu @mchetanreddy500 @_sairamkrishnan @RinushreeS @gauthamsiv @riashroff @arpiit @saritaraichu @sajithpai
Great evening with Bay Area founders at the Blume Founders Mixer in SF last week. The takeaway from the fireside AMA: this market rewards founders who raise only what they can consume, stay close to customers, and ship faster than everyone else. Growth momentum beats absolute revenue, and CEOs should spend their time on talent, investors and narrative. Thank you to our guest speakers and to every founder who joined us, portfolio and non-portfolio alike. Conversations like these are why we love doing this. 1. Started playing in non-competitive territory (read: new corridors), it was hard but paid off; built from scratch new destinations & got to market leadership there, @leverageedu now not just a winner but the only platform operating 360-degree across a bunch of new options 2. Massive AI-fication of business. For universities and agent partners last year. Now doing it for 2C customers, hospital partners et al @leveragecareers ++ the most exciting stuff is what we are building in-house for our teams @leverageedu to do better. AI analysis after every single counselling available to our Coaches now, like a Partner that makes you do better, every day and every moment. Lot lot lot to do here. 3. Brand caught up. Referrals caught up. Many years of work here. CACs saw decline. But we still prominent only in a few markets, 95% still fragmented and local peers do a better job. 4. Attachment rates of financial services and housing and insurance and other ancillary services went up, > leading to much better LTV on the same cost base, while also improving NPS. More productisation to do here. Not even halfway there. The past 6 months / this FY, have seen us: - focus 10x more on tech, LE-AI (our AI suite) starting to come into its own, right now interacting with P&L row by row; Vasu & Anna, agents at @leverageedu & @leveragecareers, are senior members of the exec team - focus 100x more on customer experience; building new categories, new destinations / corridors in our case, is very hard, as a marketplace, with Universities, Housing Providers, Banks, and even Sovereign Bodies on the other sides, negotiating with them, learning how they work across thousand of nuances, hard but once you do it >> big moat - efficiency on marketing; come to our HQ and you will see 100s of ad creatives x copies splattered all over, we experiment SO MUCH, mad effort here, that CPQL >>> is v imp to us; when we made significant wins, we pass a lot back to the customer - deep meaningful enterprise relationships, hard-won trust, now we are launching / co-creating programs of tomorrow with Universities around the world - get much better on our cash cycles, creating delight here is very important to us, the path to improving FCF will help - people; we are going through a period where we double down on folks that have given @leverageedu everything, have hard conversations with others where necessary, & also bring to the floor new senior talent that knows a bunch of stuff better than all of us - experimenting with some new GTMs, some new TAMs, early days but it’s keeping the nights busy! Right at the starting line. ONLY BEGUN.
Leverage Edu’s revenue jumps over 2X to Rs 364 Cr in FY26; turns EBITDA profitable ▪️Student placement services remained Leverage Edu’s largest revenue stream in FY26, contributing 77% of operating revenue. entrackr.com/fintrackr/lever…
