Curiosity doesn’t always lead us to an answer. Sometimes, it leads us to another perspective.
That spirit sits at the heart of SAAR, where ideas are explored, questions are debated, creativity takes unexpected forms and conversations open up new possibilities.
SHODH. SAMVAAD. SWAPN. SAARANSH.
Four experiences. Four ways of looking at what curiosity can uncover.
Take a look back at last year’s SAAR, and get ready for The Curious Contradiction.
19 November 2026 | 10:30 AM onwards
BMU Campus, Gurugram
Come curious. Stay for the questions.

Before we move on, one last rewind.
A few more smiles, a few more proud moments, and a few more memories from Convocation 2026.
Here’s to the Class of 2026. Always a little bit BMU.

A question about how women move through the world became the starting point for something much bigger.
BMU alumni Ajay Kumar and Vindhya Mehrotra, together with Himanshu Chaubey, built Fery Rides around a simple but significant purpose: making everyday mobility safer, more reliable and more empowering for women.
Through its “For Women, By Women” approach and Sister Partners model, Fery brings safer mobility together with livelihood opportunities for women. With the venture crossing 1,00,000 rides, that purpose has translated into an impact people can experience every day.
At the Alumni Awards 2026, we celebrated Ajay and Vindhya with the Alumni Social Impact Award, recognising their entrepreneurial leadership and contribution to women's safety, empowerment and social impact.
A Major in Life is not only about what you build for yourself. Sometimes, it is about building something that makes life better for others.
Congratulations, Ajay and Vindhya. Here’s to purpose that moves beyond an idea and into people’s lives.

Some people leave behind more than a legacy. They leave behind values that continue to find meaning in the lives of others.
Today, we remember our founder, Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal, whose life was guided by integrity, perseverance and a deep belief in the power of education to create responsible citizens and meaningful change.
His belief in learning with purpose continues to inspire us, reminding us that education is not only about what we know, but how we think, how we act and what we choose to contribute.
As we remember his life and contribution, we carry forward the values he stood for.
His vision lives on. His values continue to inspire.

What if a farm could also be a classroom?
Farming Commons at BML Munjal University creates a space where students, community farmers and different disciplines can learn with and from one another, through the shared experience of working with the land.
An initiative of CONNECT (Centre for Community Networks, Nurturing Reciprocal Engagement, Co-learning and Trust), in partnership with The Yasodhara Natural Agro Products, Dharuhera, the project is rooted in relational pedagogy and brings questions of food, soil, nature and livelihoods into everyday learning.
The idea is not simply to grow a farm, but to create a space where curiosity, relationships and knowledge can grow together.

Engineering gave Manu J. Nair a foundation. Curiosity took him much further.
From BMU to ISRO, from propulsion and life-support technologies to space entrepreneurship, Manu’s journey has continued to move into increasingly ambitious territory. Today, as Co-Founder & CEO of Ethereal Exploration Guild, he is working towards a fully reusable medium-lift launch vehicle, while also pursuing research across atmospheric science, solar mechanics and climate indicators.
The Emerging Alumni Excellence Award 2026 celebrates this journey across aerospace innovation, space technology, research and entrepreneurship.
It is also a reminder of what Major in Life can mean: a degree may give you a discipline, but it does not have to define the limits of what you can explore.
Congratulations, Manu.

Publishing research is a craft of its own, requiring not just strong ideas, but clarity, rigour and an understanding of how those ideas find their place in academic conversations.
As part of the International Conference on Reimagining Innovation and Value Pathways in Service Ecosystems, organised by the School of Management - BML Munjal University, in collaboration with the Academy of Management, the Indian School of Hospitality and IILM, two specialised workshops will bring experienced academic voices into conversation with researchers and educators.
Prof. Gideon Markman, Professor of Strategy, Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Colorado State University and Editorial Board member, Journal of Management, will lead a workshop on “R & R Process – How to capture editors early – and keep them through the R & R”, offering insights into navigating the revision and review process.
Prof. Carol T. Kulik, Bradley Distinguished Professor at Adelaide University, Australia, will lead “Purpose-Built Scholarship: Integrating Academic Rigor and Practical Relevance”, exploring how research can maintain academic rigour while remaining relevant to practice.
Together, the workshops create an opportunity to engage with different dimensions of academic publishing, from navigating the review process to developing research that connects scholarly rigour with practical relevance.

Every degree represents years of learning. Every Convocation marks the moment that learning begins to take its place in the world beyond the University.
The 11th Convocation at BML Munjal University brought together the Class of 2026, their families, faculty and the University community to mark a significant moment in their academic journey.
With Mr. Sandeep Bakshi, Managing Director & CEO, ICICI Bank, as Chief Guest, the occasion carried the dignity of tradition through the academic procession, ceremonial proceedings and conferral of degrees, celebrating years of learning, effort and achievement.
Beyond the processions and degrees, the day belonged to the journeys behind them, the experiences, challenges and people that made this moment possible.
You leave with a degree in your hands, but so much more in your heart. That is your Major in Life.

Mental health deserves more than a day of attention. It deserves a culture of care, every day.
As we move a few days past World Mental Health Day, the conversation around student wellbeing remains just as important.
In her recent article for BW Education, “Building Empathetic Campuses,” Ms. Rupa Murghai, Director, Wellness Centre, BML Munjal University, and Senior Psychologist and Counsellor, reflects on creating campus environments where students feel heard, understood and supported.
She highlights the need to look beyond academics and recognise the emotional and social challenges students navigate, while strengthening empathetic conversations, accessible support systems, faculty awareness and pathways to professional care.
Because student wellbeing is an integral part of education. And a campus where students can thrive begins with listening.

When academic partnerships move beyond institutions, they open doors to new possibilities for research, learning and exchange.
Dr. Atul Mishra, School of Engineering & Technology, BML Munjal University, represented BMU at the India–Norway Higher Education and Research Summit 2026 in Oslo, where a significant milestone emerged through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between BMU and OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University, Norway.
The partnership, facilitated through the Office of International Affairs BML Munjal University, creates avenues for international research collaboration, academic engagement, faculty interaction and student exchange, strengthening BMU’s global academic connections and creating new opportunities for the SoET community.
During the visit, Prof. Atul Mishra also introduced BMU and its leadership to Mrs Gloria Gangte, Ambassador of India to Norway, and presented her with a copy of The Making of Hero, authored by Sunil Kant Munjal.
The MoU marks another step in BMU’s efforts to build meaningful international collaborations that connect its academic community with institutions and research ecosystems across the world.
A partnership with possibilities, for research, exchange and learning beyond borders.

The future of work is changing faster than the job descriptions written for it. So perhaps the real question is: what should education prepare us for?
At the 36th Elets World Education Summit in New Delhi, Ms. Swati Munjal, President, BML Munjal University, joined senior academic leaders for the panel “From Classroom to Career: Redesigning Employability for an AI-Driven Workforce.”
Her perspective challenged the idea of being simply “job-ready”. In a world where roles, industries and technologies will keep evolving, she argued that education must focus on making young people “life-ready”, grounded in strong fundamentals, driven by curiosity and equipped to keep learning, adapt to change, work with others and create meaningful impact.
It is a perspective that reflects BMU’s own approach to education: preparing students not for one version of the future, but with the capabilities to navigate whatever comes next.
