It's a next man up mentality for the @YaleMBasketball team. The Bulldogs had some big holes to fill but still have the look of an @IvyLeague championship contender. James Jones & his team start the '26-'27 season Monday night at home against Howard @YaleAthletics @WTNH

Sometimes the people we love remain, through doing exactly what they loved.
Tom Rinaldi takes us through the story of the late Yale coach Tony Reno, and his son Dante playing at QB for his father.

2027 wing Preston Echols has committed to Yale, giving the Bulldogs a versatile 6-foot-6 forward with athleticism, length and the ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor.
Echols, who plays for Prolific Prep and AE5, has emerged as one of the notable wings in Florida’s 2027 class. He’s coming off a strong summer on the Adidas 3SSB circuit, where his scoring ability, finishing and defensive versatility continued to stand out.

High Post Flash Options
- Use a high-post flash to get the ball into the middle of the defense and create multiple scoring and passing options.
- When the high-post player catches, teach them to immediately square to the basket and become a scoring threat before looking to pass.
- The high-post catch can draw defenders toward the ball, creating opportunities to attack the open space behind the defense.
- Use the baseline player as an option when the defense collapses on the high post, especially when the low defender steps up to help.
- Allow the wing to slide into available space as the defense shifts, giving the high-post player another clear passing option.
- Emphasize reading the defense instead of predetermining the play, allowing players to choose between scoring, hitting the baseline, or finding an open perimeter teammate.
