He made a commitment. Traveled to StL often. Regularly. Was in the Braves org. Did ok. Nothing great. But continued with me and started improving rapidly. Got traded to the Yankees and his aha moments became frequent. Kept working. He is my fastball change up drill master. No one does it as good as Caleb. No one.
He had two great seasons in the Yanks system. Had two great AzFall league seasons. Got traded to the Brewers and will be in Milwaukee tomorrow night.
So will I.
That first visual I had of him, quiet and raw but full of desire……has morphed and now I see a confident player with amazing technique…..who is now a big leaguer.
This is what it’s all about. A 5’6” D3 player who worked hard and smart gets rewarded.
Congrats Caleb.

Unpopular opinion; going 1st to 3rd or 2nd to home on a single isn’t about your 60 time. It’s about you being able to read the ball off the bat, knowing the OF positioning and arms… you know, actually knowing baseball, not just showcase numbers…
