Our U14 Girls were away against Boston Colts. Wow what a match - full of tension, passion and fighting spirit The girls showed once again that they can come back from a losing position to get draw in local derby, It was a great game to watch ending with a 2-2 draw - very proud!
On Saturday lunch time our U11 Blacks had a home fixture & then on the evening enjoyed being flag bearers for the first team fixture against Scunthorpe United. In their own game, they worked hard but are just lacking a bit of confidence at the moment in order to score goals.

Orton Rangers Red 5 - 2 BUFC U15 Ambers
It was an unsettled start from the Ambers as we looked to change our style of play to suit the pitch conditions. Plenty to learn from, but also plenty of positives to build on as we move forward.

We battled hard & adapted well. It was a much more even contest than the scoreline suggests considering there were two divisions between the teams, but ultimately the home side were more clinical in front of goal on the day.

Incredibly proud of every player in our U15 Blacks this weekend, who were up against Nene Valley Orange in the League Knockout Cup. The team is about development, building togetherness & creating a clear set of principles and a playing model that they can believe & grow with!

🏆 Coaches' Player of the Match Fred S continues to impress and has made the left-back position his own. He didn't allow an early mistake to affect him and grew stronger as the game went on, making well-timed challenges and winning the majority of his 1v1 battles

Our U8 Ambers played Thurlby Tigers Whites - both teams worked really hard and played a great game. The Ambers did some good passing and created plenty of chances, scoring some great team goals. It was really nice to see the team enjoying it and improving game in game.

U10 Ambers travelled to BFA Blacks for a league cup game. It was a good competitive game with not much between the two sides. The team played some nice football throughout the game but just couldn’t find the end product but defensively, we dealt with everything very well.

Unlucky to concede against the run of play, the team continued going forwards to create chances & move the ball nicely. A nice strike from the opposition made the hill a little harder to climb & it proved to be one of those days, with BFA Black going through to the next round

U16 Blacks were at home to Holbeach United. It was always going to be a tough game with the opposition being a JPL side. Good to have a challenge & show we can compete, even if that was in smaller periods. The team put a lot of effort in, both defending & attacking.
1/3
There were positives, including clipping of the ball to good areas, chances made, good work with shape & movement from side to side. The team never gave up, showing character, and after the players were disappointed not to get a result, which we hope is used as motivation.

U9 Blues had a tough trip away to a very talented Terrington Tigers Stripes. While their hosts were clinical, the Pilgrims continued to battle throughout, never letting their heads drop & coming close to finding a goal late on, hitting the woodwork on three separate occasions
