A challenging couple of days electrofishing on the River Teme with @UniOfHull #HIFI but successfully captured and tagged more barbel for this ongoing tracking study 👍

Great to be part of this barbel tagging and tracking project. BUG was on hand the past couple of days, working with @UniOfHull to capture and tag some more barbel on the River Teme to add to this ongoing study
Our #FisheriesOfficers have been working with @BU_Reaserch @UniOfHull and local anglers to catch #barbel from the #Teme #Worcetershire for tagging.
This is part of a partnership of one of the longest #barbel tracking studies to understand behaviour and habitat preferences.
BUG’s @DrAndyHarrison and @CatieGR are at @WWTSlimbridge on the banks of the Severn this week - PIT tagging eels to assess connectivity between water bodies and monitor silver eel escapement from the site
