Dr. David Ndii says increased demand is behind milk stock-outs in Kenya. “Who is consuming this milk if people have not increased their consumption?” he asked. “If you go to any of our affordable housing construction sites... you will find crates of milk,” he said.

So the "76,000" are responsible for the sudden rise in demand for milk! @MwangoCapital
Pastors are praying for people to get jobs, do you believe that 1.1 million Kenyans can have a job but none of them is your relative, your neighbour or even someone in your WhatsApp group? The net number of jobs created across the entire construction industry stands at 76,700, yet the government claims to have created 1.1 million jobs ~ Prof. Fred Ogola, Party Leader, LDP @ctmuga @mungalambuvi #ThePeoplesBreakfast #HomeOfHardTruths

when Ngilu is activated mostly is to contain SKM fallout.
Tongues are wagging! 👀 Charity Ngilu has pulled up at Wamunyoro, the symbolic venue where the alternative government is taking shape. Heavyweight. Hard to ignore. If you know the new alignment, then you know! #Gachagua #ElectionsKE #Ngilu

I totally agree with you on this observation; all of us must now retreat to our electoral areas, physically and not through social media and photo sessions with the Party Leader!

Other Presidents still built roads. Ruto is not the first president to build roads. Infact yearly road construction has dropped in the first 4 years of Ruto compared to that of Uhuru. Our problem is inflated costs which is just budgeted corruption lkini wewe ni mamba mslow huget.

Witchcraft is real. How!
Abincha Manono: There's something called electric bikes, which His Excellency William Ruto has enabled to come at a cheaper cost. You can deposit 15,000, and daily you pay 280 shillings, and the daily income from that can be roughly 3,000.

Intresting view. So milk shortage is due 2 mafundi wa mjengo at affordable housing sites drinking more tea nd Mandazis! whereas shortage in money circulation is coz we nolonger borrow 2 sustain the spending! 🥱🥱
David Ndii pushes back on concerns about Kenya's weak demand and infrastructure securitization: — Ndii argues that weak demand largely reflects the withdrawal of debt-financed government spending after a decade of excessive borrowing, rather than higher taxes on salaried workers. — Only ~15% of workers are on payroll, leaving a narrow PAYE tax base. He argues that expanding tax coverage matters more than focusing solely on deductions from formal employees. — The government inherited ~KES 1T in unfunded infrastructure commitments, particularly roads. Affordable housing was partly designed to sustain construction activity as debt-financed projects were halted. — Ndii says securitization of the Road Maintenance Levy Fund was intended to clear pending road bills, initially using the additional KES 7 per litre following the levy increase from KES 18 to KES 25. — He says the sports fund securitization redirects revenue from recurrent expenditure towards stadium construction. Annual collections reportedly increased from ~KES 4B to nearly KES 20B following changes to betting tax collection. — Ndii argues that securitized instruments attract pension funds and long-term investors seeking assets different from Treasury bonds, broadening infrastructure financing beyond conventional government borrowing. — He maintains that Kenya's regulatory burden is partly a consequence of fiscal pressure, as ministries and counties introduce fees and levies to meet revenue targets.

.@DavidNdii says Kenya has no milk shortage. Apparently, demand has just risen so much that supermarkets are running out of milk. And who's drinking all this milk? He says watu wa mjengo at affordable housing projects.
David Ndii argues that Kenya is not experiencing a milk shortage but rather a surge in demand: — Annual milk production rose 20% between 2022 and 2025 to ~5.6B litres. Says that the increase alone exceeds the annual milk production of 90% of African countries. — Milk intake by processors rose 34% to ~1B litres annually, although formal processing still accounts for only ~20% of production. — Processed milk intake in Jan–Aug 2026 was just 1% below 2025 levels, despite the drought. — Despite rising supply, supermarkets continue experiencing stockouts, which Ndii attributes to stronger consumer demand. — Ndii cites affordable housing construction sites, where contractors provide milk to workers, as one source of growing consumption. — Kenya's annual milk production is worth ~KES 400B at farm-gate prices, while quality dairy heifers fetch KES 300K–350K. — Ndii argues that official statistics may be missing significant economic activity as Kenya's economy undergoes rapid structural changes.

Kwame Owino, CEO of the Institute of Economic Affairs, raises concerns about Kenya's weak consumer demand and infrastructure securitization: — Kenya still has a negative output gap, suggesting the economy could grow faster. Owino argues that high deductions from workers' incomes are suppressing consumption and employment. — He questions whether the economic benefits of building an additional 200K–300K affordable homes annually justify the reduction in disposable income caused by the housing levy. — Owino acknowledges the rationale for infrastructure securitization but questions the lack of consolidated disclosures on how much has been securitized, the proceeds raised and the obligations created. — He warns that securitizing future revenues, including the Road Maintenance Levy Fund, could compromise funding for future road maintenance. — He draws parallels with the SGR, arguing that major infrastructure projects have previously been promoted without sufficient disclosure of their financial risks. — His central concern is that securitization does not eliminate fiscal risk. It can merely transfer future obligations elsewhere, making transparency and accountability critical.

Budgeted corruption is making Kenyans poor. A Sifuna administration will cut all this wastage that we see in this administration. Kenya needs an overhaul of this corrupt system. Talanta Stadium money could have build 10 other talanta stadiums.

Bomas costing the same as Talanta City stadium is madness
How they used the long contract to steal and conceal massive theft of billions from the Bomas project; ♦️ A secret contract. 390 pages. Parliament has demanded it for months. The Ministry of Defence refused to table it. Now @StandardKenya has it. ♦️ The Bomas convention complex was approved at Sh31.7bn in 2023. It's now Sh45.1bn. ♦️ That's a Sh13bn jump. No ministry has publicly explained it. ♦️ Look at the "Add Sums":
✅3% for design: Sh856.8m
✅1% for security: Sh285.6m
✅5% provisional sum: Sh1.42bn ♦️ Total: Sh2.57bn. None of it is tied to steel, concrete or labour. Procurement experts call it a corruption allowance. ♦️ Then there's a flat Sh4.97bn for import taxes. No actual customs assessments. ♦️ Add Sh3.56bn for the presidential area fit-out. And Sh18.1m for termite prevention. ♦️ The Auditor-General says direct procurement was approved on Feb 17, 2025, while a tender process was still ongoing. ♦️ Kenyans have a right to know how their money is spent @EACCKenya
