Political differences should never come at the expense of basic human decency. Celebrating the death of a fellow student is reprehensible, regardless of political affiliation. We ask that Colin and his loved ones be treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.
Last semester, I served as president of the Boston University College Republicans but decided to step down for this academic year. These days, I mostly just post about the books I read and have little interest in discussing politics on here.
But on Friday, this year’s president, Colin Sharpe, tragically died in a car accident. And now people are celebrating his death on BU’s anonymous student forum.
Yes, the post has only eight upvotes. But that is still eight people celebrating the death of a fellow student because of his political affiliation.
I’m sure the overwhelming majority of BU students find this just as disgusting as I do. But it is deeply disturbing that some people on this campus don’t merely disagree with conservatives.
They seem to genuinely want us dead.
Our dear friend, Colin Sharpe, passed away in a tragic accident. He was a brilliant, kind, and courageous man who left an immense impact on our lives and many others.
We at BUCR extend our heartfelt condolences to Colin's family, friends, and all who knew him. Colin will be deeply missed by our organization and the wider communities of which he was part.
May he Rest in Peace.
No more anticipation of classmates changing over the summer, no more spring fever, no more first day of school fit
Your kids won't experience memories like your childhood, that will be replaced with a bland montage of tests and toil. Nothing new or beautiful will be produced.

Peter Thiel & Palantir don't support Western Civilization. Here's video of Palantir CEO Alex Karp taking credit for "stopping the far right in Europe" (he means dissident parties like AFD) and saying he wouldn't vote for the AFD.

The ad is devastating because it shows that Vivek and others promoting this will dredge up painful family history, including loss of custody and allegations of abuse in order to say "Her mom won't even vote for her"
Remember what we said about not understanding American values?

Vivek should apologize to Amy.
Weaponizing personal and traumatic family trauma for political hits is not something men of honor do.
BUCR is back tonight at 7:30 in CAS 223. Topics will be the reaction to our endorsement of Amy Acton, a recap of our event with @BasilianThought and @bennni_boi, and the outlook for next month's midterm elections!
If you're in Boston & found us on X, you're welcome to attend!

We went to Boston University to teach the College Republicans law vs. LARP. Then Matt Forney melted down over the event.
So which is it: "Basil's brown" or "vote for Vivek"? You can't have both.

It's a tragic day for BUCR. We lost the guy who thinks watching child porn is moral.

Vivek Ramaswamy constantly tries to convince Ohioans that a data center boom would be “great” for our state. But he really means it’s great for him.
Despite my calls for him to divest his individual stocks, as I did myself over 6 months ago, he has continued to cash in on millions of dollars of investments that he holds at every single level of the AI data center industry.
It is clear he will say anything to line his own pockets and help himself while selling out the rest of us. Ohio deserves better.
The Boston University College Republicans have been threatened with expulsion from the College Republicans of America due to the chapter’s endorsement of Amy Acton and condemnation of Vivek Ramaswamy.
The College Republicans of America branded the BU chapter as “traitors” and “panicans”. In contrast, the BU chapter responded by sticking to their position and wondering how their opposition to H1Bs made them “traitors”.
The BU Chapter has received an outpouring of support in their position, especially from other College Republican chapters under the College Republicans of America umbrella.

BU CR makes a good point. If we just throw our support behind bad Republicans, we are devaluing our vote and voice.
America's leaders, even on the right, have to earn our trust and support.
We encourage other CR Chapters (especially in Ohio) to make this endorsement. Show some courage
Vivek has contempt for the American values of well roundedness & joie de vivre, and he wants Ohio as a vessel for his national ambitions. You'll live if a Dem is Governor for 4 years.
We unequivocally denounce this attack.
We will also be endorsing @amyactonoh for Governor of Ohio, as she is more respectful of American cultural norms and more committed to protecting American workers from foreign competition than @VivekGRamaswamy.
Country over Party
So @OSUCRs and @MiamiOHCRs, if you endorsed Acton or condemned Vivek, it would be a meaningful action in a meaningful race.
This is an opportunity to show that the youth won't sit idly by as the GOP establishment promotes inauthentic charlatans that don't care about us.
Today at 8:00 PM in CAS 211 (725 Commonwealth Ave), BUCR will be hosting prolific X and Youtube influencers @BasilianThought & @bennni_boi for an informative, highbrow discussion.
Many are saying it's a "can't miss event".

Current SAT math doesn’t go beyond algebra II, so there’s probably ~200 million Chinese citizens who could get a perfect score on a translated math section right now.
And yet Mississippi’s GDP per capita is 4X China’s. So maybe the “Chuds” actually have deep cultural strengths.
Replying to @ArtemisConsort
If you removed the ceiling from the SAT and got rid of Affirmative Action, whites would be less than 10% of Columbia's class (88% Asian). The chuds have deep cultural problems, and need a stern talking to
We're lucky to have Vivek. His parents could have gone anywhere and graciously choose here, and he's paid more net tax than you ever will. *We* should have some humility when we talk about him!

Replacing Sam Altman, Dario, and Chris Olah with clean cut Wall Street types (like Jamie Dimon) would do wonders for AI’s public image.
It might not be “fair” but if these boards are serious about winning over the public & the Gov then they must realize abrasive nerds are poison
