The Year 10 WBQ Community days were so successful over the last two days! It was an absolute pleasure to see our Year 10 students lead, teach and coach our Year 7 students.
Outstanding teamwork, communication and leadership skills demonstrated!
Well done!

This Refugee Week - Different Pasts, Shared Future. Why not visit the LRC and choose a book or read a poem and see some other of the work our year 10 pupils have created on the Refugee Crisis as part of their Welsh Baccalaureate studies @StTeilos #RefugeeWeek @welshrefcouncil

And, here, another school who deliver @FirstGiveUK in the Welsh Bacc curriculum. It's such a strong qualification when taught correctly and we are very proud to be supporting it in schools.
Year 9 students have been busy tackling social issues by supporting local charities in their Welsh Bac lessons.
@wgmin_education was on hand to judge and award a @FirstGiveUK £1,000 grant to students representing the winning charity🙌

It's small charities week. I work at @FirstGiveUK and it feels anything but small. We're a core team of 5 but we work in c. 170 schools with c. 25K young people. In Wales, I look after c. 35 schools and work with c. 5,250 young people. #ILoveSmallCharities #smallcharitiesweek 😍

#stcyreschat We’ve been experimenting with this in our Faculty for department and Welsh Bac work. I would highly recommend this using #Keynote or #Pages. For help with this please come down to see myself or @MrsHilltoutArt #AppleEDUchat
Kids should be encouraged to draw more in class--not just for creative reasons, but also because it has POWERFUL effects on learning. It forces them to grapple with what they’re learning and reconstruct it in a way that makes sense. A fun research video I worked on at @edutopia.
