Our graphic illustrates molecular timers that measure histone exchange on DNA genome-wide using a single sample of cells. The timers report on the DNA co-residence time of two genetically tagged histone subunits of choice.

I am very honored and the best part is that I have the resources to pursue science in a fun, collaborative manner, with some of my favorite colleagues, a few of them celebrating with me in this pic
Sloan Kettering Institute's @dana_peer was 1 of 33 elite biomedical researchers named a Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) investigator today.

Excellent news this morning 🤩
Our workshop @KITP_UCSB on *quantitative biology of non-growing microbes*, co-organized with Nathalie Balaban and Roberto Kolter is approved. Join us for 3 weeks of exciting talks and brainstorming (Oct 10-27th 2022)! kitp.ucsb.edu/activities/mic… 1/2
Comparing daily cases of general population vs. medical personnel (among the first to vaccinate), shows similar trends to those reported by @segal_eran, possibly avoiding some of the biases introduced in age-group comparisons (e.g. different age-profile for new variants)
Israel: Vaccines impacting the pandemic dynamics
Preprint: tinyurl.com/jyjho4v9 (**see caveats**)
In the past 3 weeks:
Among 60 y/o & older (1st vaccinated):
51% fewer cases
29% fewer critically ill
Among 60 y/o & younger:
19% fewer cases
31% **more** critically ill
>>>
Caveats: Diminished perception of danger among medical staff may reduce their testing following possible exposure. But this should also be true for the general population
