Intersex children are too often subjected to genital surgery as infants, before they can have any say, when the surgery isn’t needed for their health or physical function. Three former U.S. Surgeons General have said that practice should stop.
Every child deserves the chance to make decisions about their own body. That’s why equal protection has to mean all children.
