Between the vicious lies & discrimination against @NYCMayor, the despicable statements at the Jewish American Summit, and the attacks on @AbdulElSayed, the level of Islamophobia catapulted at our Muslim cousins right now — some of it from our own Jewish community — is staggering.
Ha ha!
I used to think that I would have to go to a Hasidic store if I ever wanna get a Rebbish (dynastic Hasidic) style bekishe (coat).
Turns out I can just go to Zara 🤷♀️
Also trying to decide if this cultural appreciation or appropriation 🤔

A good thread.

5. The fact that hatred of Israel can cause hatred of Jews and that Jews are being attacked because they are associated with Israel does not mean that Jews deserve to be hated or targeted because of this association, but it's not victim-blaming to note that people make this association at least partly because the Jewish state itself and major Jewish groups outside Israel continually emphasize the connection between Jews and Israel and between Judaism and Zionism.

So when you read about eight members of an NBC News Team being beaten by Israeli settlers today in the West Bank, it's important to note two things:
1. The settler wouldn't do this to Americans had they not received a green light from the Israeli gov.
2. Israel's gov would not have given such a green light unless it felt confident that the US gov - and Amb. Huckabee - wouldn't lift a finger to defend the Americans.

It is racist, dispiriting and disgusting for the 9/11 memory committee, which has invited the mayor of NYC to the memorial service every year since they began, to exclude Mayor Mamdani
THE MAYOR DID NOT LIBEL JEWS.
Just spoke at the End Jew Hatred rally.
Mamdani’s “war criminal” video didn’t just libel Jews, it helped create the climate that led to a stabbing on the Upper West Side of an Asian American and a Jewish American.
I called out his decision to host Mahmoud Khalil, the keffiyeh commercial, and the endless genocide rhetoric.
Didn’t even need to get into his wife’s social media or for calling Jews monsters just last month.
This is the mayor of New York.
Note it is you claiming that the mayor singled out “the Jewish state.” He did not. He named Netanyahu and he referred to the Israeli forces.
Two days after Mamdani posted a video singling out the Jewish state as uniquely evil and telling New Yorkers to use "every tool they have" to oppose it, a man heeded his call. He stabbed two Jews coming out of synagogue with a screwdriver and screamed Allahu Akbar. The Mayor has Jewish blood on his hands.
Good news!!!!

What a profoundly stupid stunt.
There’s an old teaching about the man who thinks he can ride the tiger and dismount whenever he likes.

Reminder: Israel’s leaders call for Jewish supremacy from the river to the sea.
People chanting "From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free" at a @nycDSA victory party, attended by @NYCMayor.
Quick reminder: The phrase “From the River to the Sea” refers to the entire territory between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, including all of Israel.
Let me be clear: Supporting Palestinian rights is not antisemitic. But calling for the elimination of the world's only Jewish state is.
Thank you Def Noodles. You are so right.

Batya has come full circle.
She used to traffic in left-wing identity politics. Now she’s doing the exact same thing from the right.
Instead of debating socialism or policy, she’s racializing the issue by blaming “over-credentialed white people.”
Mamdani had plenty of Jewish supporters and allies.
Funny how she constantly applies collective guilt solely to whites.
Sorry Sam. He's an active member of his synagogue; thought about rabbinical school before deciding to focus on municipal issues (housing in particular); is a long-standing member of Jews For Racial & Economic Justice. Jewishness & Judaism have been core parts of his identity.
This man is a walking campaign gimmick. The only time he leans into his Jewish identity is when he's trying to provide cover for policies that have no basis in Jewish law, tradition, or practice. A career in politics and nothing to show for it other than being a useful idiot for antisemites. What an absolute joke.
