I think Riot is prepared to wage war on the TCG market. The product placement here is wild, you know they’re serious.
IMO they’re aiming for the #1 TCG spot and I think they’re gonna pull it off.
Do not underestimate the marketing power of this multi billion dollar studio!
I think I have finished accumulating my RB year one bag minus some things still in transit. Everything is otherwise in storage, sealed, placed in plastic bins, and climate controlled.
I have enough exposure to Origins, Spiritforged, Unleashed, Vendetta, and Radiance (which you guys know I love to give a hard time 🤣) in the form of sealed and slabs/raw sigs. I also have two of each English bundle and have exposure to all Nexus Night stuff.
I’m missing the T1 signature bundle. I really don’t know if I can ever be asked to buy the T1 sig bundle; many great serials have been pulled and it’s STILL priced at like $7k with 10,125 units. Insane.
I think my big regret here may be missing out on project K. No one wants to sell me a complete sealed set of English Project K 2024 Trial decks at a reasonable price, so it seems I’m out of luck. Never got a Lunar Teemo or the silver packs.
I have zero prize wall or best ofs. Unsure if I am missing out here as well for these. I understand the appeal but they’re also just base art legends on metal. 🤪
Regarding Project K red and silver packs:
There is nothing wrong with them. I do prefer English product as a rule of thumb but the red/silver packs were region exclusive before RB launched so they have provenance. Unfortunately that means they are giga expensive already. That’s my only complaint about them, otherwise I would have some. 🤪
My opinion of RB slab price is multifaceted in the short term, ultimately it’s impossible to know the bottom unless you have enough money to set the bottom yourself. However pops have slowed down and are lower than I actually expected. Consider as well that print runs will end in 2028 for the first 5 sets. Distribution must still take place during this intermittent time period. I am thus not trying to time the bottom too much, I am just buying into market fear for collectibles I believe will be impossible to get in 5-10 years without robbing a bank.
Plus I really like the cards.
Big Riftbound mail day for me, the biggest so far!
I consider the Kai’sa OGN Signature a top 5 grail of boosters in the game and very close to OGN Ahri sig if not tied.
GGEZ Teemo needs no explanation…was finally time to grab him. I think he is going to be one of the most iconic cards in the game.
I really like the SFD Bard art and it’s BARD which is one letter short of BARDY so of course I had to get him.
I know the Heartsteel sigs aren’t universally loved but I do like them as a fun homage to male pop groups, the rest are on their way. 👀
The bottom line is, the LoL IP has been around for 15 years with a massive fan base and I am confident it will stick around.
That said, I’m still excited for RB’s trajectory, but I want the RB team to STOP and DIG into the aftermath of Radiance before Legacy reveal season.

Everything about this post is normal and to be expected with one exception, specifically that Radiance was 4x popular at launch. To me this is a great indication that the game is growing significantly despite my grievances with Radiance’s set design.

I was a big fan of Fnatic when they weren’t playing against NA 😂. League was still so small then, completely unrecognizable compared to now. Teams like Fnatic really set the foundation for what League of Legends is today, and there would be no Riftbound without League!
As an aside and this is very random, but I became mutuals on X with Yellowstar recently (OG Fnatic support and shotcaller). I was so surprised, was a cool moment. I remember picking up Leona after watching him play in some matches. ☀️
