I'M BEGGING ECOMMERCE FOUNDERS:
> place an order on your own store
> try to change the address after you pay
> track it the way a customer would
> start a return
> see if anything brings you back to buy again
> fix every step where you wanted to give up
You already paid to get the customer.
What happens after checkout has a lot to do with whether they buy from you again.
Go through it yourself - there's only so much a dashboard can tell you.
Here's what to look for at each step:
1. PLACE AN ORDER (IS THE CHECKOUT ADD-ON WORTH PAYING FOR?)
A typical "add shipping protection" offer doesn't give the customer much.
Think about the Amex Platinum model. The idea is that the benefits are worth more to you than the fee.
That's how I think about Checkout+ at Onward: 10% credit toward your next order, a 90-day satisfaction guarantee, a free return shipping label, a gift with purchase.
If you're asking customers to pay more, give them more value than they're paying for.
2. CHANGE THE ADDRESS (MISTAKES HAPPEN)
Right after you pay, try to fix your address or increase the quantity.
Can you do it yourself, or do you have to contact support?
Your thank you page can let customers make those changes, take an upsell or turn a one-time purchase into a subscription.
3. TRACK IT (WITHOUT ASKING YOUR TEAM)
Can you tell where your order is from the emails and tracking page?
If you can't, it's easy to see why customers reach out asking "Where's my order?"
Send updates as the order moves and link back to a branded tracking page.
We see around a 1% conversion rate on that page, where customers can also discover and buy other products.
4. START A RETURN (IS AN EXCHANGE EASY?)
See whether your returns flow prioritizes an exchange.
Give customers a reason to choose one, and make it easy to complete.
You have a chance to keep the sale and help them get something they actually want.
5. SEE WHAT BRINGS YOU BACK (THE NEXT ORDER)
Watch what lands in your inbox after the purchase.
If you received credit toward your next order, are you reminded to use it?
Giving someone credit is only part of it. Send reminders on a cadence to bring them back over time.
(This is the playbook we run with brands at @useonward.)
Go through your own store and see where you get stuck. That's a good place to start.
This is such a cool concept but I hope we see more of this happen as open protocols to plug into any agent!
Today we announce 1Password for Agents platform, building with companies @Muse, SpaceX Super Intelligence Grok @Bot, @AnthropicAIβs @Claudeai, @OpenAI, @TownAI, @Browserbase, @Browser_use, @heydana_ai, Instinct, @usekernel, @Perplexity_ai, @tryramp, @Tomo, and @wajo_ai, with more integrations on the way. π
We've heard from so many of our customers who want to use these new personal AI agents to help them get more done, but want more control over what the agent can access with the same trust and ease of use they get when using 1Password directly.
1Password for Agents gives your agents access without giving up your passwords. When an agent reaches a sign-in form, it requests a credential from your vault. If you approve the request, 1Password directly auto-fills the credential in the destination site so the agent canβt see or take possession of the credentials.
The agent gets the task done, but it doesnβt get your passwords..
You stay in control. 1Password for Agents free and optional for personal and family accounts. Unless you opt-in to an agent connector, agents cannot touch your vault.

βYOU CAN SEE EVERYTHINGβ has risen to a 4.8 rating on Letterboxd, making it the highest-rated feature film of all time on the platform.
there's a strong inverse correlation between having multiple Codex/Claude accounts and actually shipping anything
I feel like this was inevitable but feels like odd timing right before DevDay
Hi,
Tomorrow we are re-opening the Pro $200 subscriptions to new subscribers, but together with it we are also changing how we calculate the usage for it. In effect, if you do the math, it will net out at half the dollar in API spend compared to the old Pro $200 plan.
Now that it's said, let me explain why this is happening and why you will still get more work done than if you were on the Pro $200 subscription one month ago.
(a) We didn't want to compromise in other ways and are committing to not reintroducing the 5h limit, so that you can fully use the weekly usage when you want.
(b) On the subscription, we guarantee that over time you always get more work done and with an increasing level of quality. This means that you will continue to get more value per dollar spent as a result of models getting more efficient and us passing down the improvements in the form of API price reductions.
(c) We don't want to put an incentive on ourselves to artificially inflate the API list prices to make it look like you are getting a lot (and workaround it through discounts, etc). Instead we want to continue to both rapidly reduce prices and increase capabilities of models on the API. This week we introduced GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna at 50% of their previous price. Over time, we see prices go low enough that it makes sense for most to buy usage as needed without there being a significant gap between what you get in a subscription and what you get in the API for a dollar spent.
(d) Tomorrow, we are adding more things to the subscription that won't draw on the usage, I won't reveal what that is yet.
I wanted to be transparent before all the big announcements tomorrow. Lots of new exciting things are coming to the subscriptions that will make it super compelling, but I wanted to make sure to share this change ahead of time so you can all understand it before we shower you with good news.
Codexingly,
Tibo
Iβve seen reporting about Instinct using open source models, but it feels like theyβre just wrapping Kimi or Qwen
It completely shuts down the second you ask about anything related to the Chinese government.
I've been testing Gemini Flash a lot with my OpenClaw and it's by FAR the most "human sounding" model like nothing else even comes close π€―
I'm not sure I'd rely on it for anything requiring a lot of intelligence/thinking but for the "communication" layer it's incredible
Pretty wild seeing Ramp speedrun this release following the @OpenRouter acquisition by Stripe
We bought router.com.
Now we're building the best one.
Our customers buy quadrillions of tokens every month through Ramp, and we've run our own AI on this router for 3 years to keep costs down.
Today it's yours at router.com
Looks like Metabase got hit yet again!
After their 8/6 security release, they sent out a fresh one today for 0.63.10. Be sure to upgrade soon if you self host!

π¨π¦ There are two US tariff changes hitting Canadian brands right now and they work in opposite directions.
The first one landed Jul 24. Canada sits in a flat 10% band, and goods entered duty-free under CUSMA are exempt from it. So the fix there is paperwork, and a lot of smaller brands never set up CUSMA certification because the old de minimis made it pointless.
The second one is Aug 19, and it does not care about your paperwork. An extra 50% on a long list of Canadian goods, and CUSMA specifically does not exempt you. It reads as autos, alcohol and dairy, but the actual lists reach into apparel, furniture, toys, cosmetics and sporting goods.
If you ship physical product into the US, go find out which list you are on before the 19th. Those are two very different problems and only one of them is solved by filing better.

Texas is about to get plum smacked by some very large hail and high winds tomorrow. We have a Level 3 risk in place for Sunday and these storms could produce egg size hail or BIGGER. Make sure you have a way to get warnings and protect your vehicles.
expanding codex into "for everything" is such a smart move. feels silly saying "ChatGPT" when talking about anything serious
