The Black Horses are set to make their 8th…straight…Super Bowl appearance, advancing to the Class C final following a convincing, 48-6 win over Cobleskill-Richmondville in last night’s semis.
To the surprise of absolutely no one, Ernie DaCosta was at the center of the Black Horses’ success, going for 4 combined touchdowns and 187 total yards of offense. @BaseballHorses

On a quest for a third straight 🏈 sectional championship, Schuylerville passed its first test of this postseason with flying colors last night, taking down Johnstown, 54-6, in the Class C quarterfinals, which was our 1st & 10 “Game of the Week”!
This was a tight-knit game at the end of the first quarter, with Schuylerville only leading by a point, 7-6. But then the Black Horses kicked it into gear, scoring 47 unanswered to secure their place in the semifinals.
Schuylerville’s rushing attack, which never ceases to impress, was in full force again, as the Black Horses racked up 437 yards. Much of that came from Ernie DaCosta, who finished with 196 and 4 TDs. Hudson Peck also pitched in with 131 yards and a pair of scores. @BaseballHorses

Schuylerville passed a huge test last night, not only on paper, but mentally.
How would the Black Horses respond from the disappointment of surrendering a 26-14 halftime lead to Glens Falls the week prior, while having to go on the road to take on a talented Hoosick Falls/Tamarac team? The answer? Quite well.
Credit to first-year head coach Nick Richard, who had his guys ready for this one. Schuylerville hung 21 points in the opening frame, was in total control, and secured an impressive, 42-20 bounce back win.
Ernie DaCosta did Ernie DaCosta things in this one - a hat trick for the star junior back, with two of his TD totes coming from 50+ yards out. @BaseballHorses
Another gorgeous fall Friday night at Black Horse Stadium. Some Creed tonight but I imagine next week there will be some different tunes on the playlist for @ByPeteTobey perhaps??

Just get the ball in the hands of Ernie DaCosta…never a bad game plan if you’re Schuylerville.
It certainly worked well last night. The junior back accounted for 3️⃣ scores, lifting the Black Horses to a 28-0 win over Greenwich in a battle of two-time defending section champs! @BaseballHorses
