PEACE IV projects continue to make headlines
Belfast Star Basketball Club recently played their first All-Ireland Super League game in their new home, the state-of-the-art sports complex at Newforge Lane in South Belfast. SEUPB provided €5.8 million funding through the PEACE IV Programme to support the development of Newforge Shared Space - a 15-acre multi-purpose indoor and outdoor sports facility, open to all.
The power of sport to bring people and communities together has long been a driver of social change in Northern Ireland and with the completion of this incredible new facility, people from diverse backgrounds have a space to meet, learn and play together.
