Shouldn't need to be restated, but if you ask Grok to explain my tweets I will block you and think less of you as a person.
So pretty sure the Women's Emerging Nations Trophy is going ahead on time in the UAE next month. Baffling there's still been no announcement on the venue switch.

James Anderson with a first foray into franchise ownership (I think) and it has come in the Italia T10 tournament where he will be co-owner of the Napoli Knights along with Luke Sutton. Inaugural tournament will run Nov 18-29. No indication if Anderson will play in it.
Looking back on this game, it's remarkable how far PNG have declined in 50-over cricket. They led the last WCLC for a good chunk of the comp and were in contention for a place in the Super League until the last leg.
Today they got hammered by Qatar, by 9 wickets inside 15 overs..
Fairly sure the previous highest team total at ICC Academy Ground 2 was in fact Hong Kong's 323-4 back in 2017, incidentally the very match where the Netherlands are cheering for here, as Hong Kong closed out the win to seal NL's place in the SUper League:

The UAE is something of an exception in the gulf, but also notable for consistently producing players domestically. Similarly the Netherlands and Scotland continue to prioritise domestic 50-over for reasons of history/tradition/habit. The same is to an extent true of Jersey.
Good grab this from ZLC.
Somebody wake up @KNCBcricket socials there's all sorts happening today.

That HK-PNG game was definitely Ground 2 though though I was there. At leastw as definitely the same ground as this match, which I'm fairly sure is Ground 2.
Maiden international ton for Cedric de Lange, and in brutally hot conditions in Dubai. Has been a remarkably testing introduction to international cricket for the youngster over the last few tours, but he's adjusted quickly. Lot of runs to come in Orange one imagines.

Also worth saying that this sort of thing could well be what finally precipitates the massive lawsuit that brings the entire NOC system crashing down.

Every time people try to write off or malign One Day International Cricket, it shows us time & time again as to how brilliant it is.
Bring back these triangular ODI series on a regular basis with a calendar that has context & jeopardy to give us 3 great formats and support them
If this keeps happening, it will only accelerate the sidelining of Pakistani players from franchise cricket. They're already effectively shut out of a huge swathe of the franchise circuit. This sort of thing will not help.
Absolutely stunning collapse from Kenya against Qatar at the final Challenge League A, losing their last five wickets for just 3 runs inside 9 ball to slide to a 4 run defeat, which tanks their faint hopes of reclaiming ODI status this cycle.
