As well as taking part in the #NRCquiz2026 with the @literacy_trust , Bearsden coordinates for the North and West of Scotland. Meaning that all 19 teams taking part sent their answers in to us, our wonderful S6 library ambassadors were marking them and updating the scores live!
Congrats to Thea, Ronja, Akshara, Bryn, Ariana, Holly, Cal, and Harris - you made us proud!

Amazingly talented Library Ambassador Ottie decorated fake book stacks with genres over the last few weeks to help brighten the library!
Our ‘genre of the month’ for September is Historical fiction.
Here are our recommendations for S1-S3 for reading this month from our amazing Library Ambassadors Holly, Skylaar and Mollie.

Our last book club book of this year was the hilarious “The First Kid in Space” by Tom Mitchell. Our members recommend this to anyone who likes funny stories, adventure, things that go wrong, and a hero you can relate to.
Thanks to @ReadingAgency and @HarperCollinsCh for the copies. It was a great read to end the year.

Thanks to @readingagency and @LittleTigerUK for our copies of “A Flash of Neon” by Sophie Cameron. Our junior book club read this in May and had a great time all reading the same book and discussing it.
Top thoughts were that we liked that the characters imagination came true, the focus on the power of friendship, and that it was funny but with a good message.
