7th generation Hoosier and Marine running for Indiana Secretary of State

Indiana, USA
Joined August 2025
Twenty-five years ago, America was attacked. Thousands of innocent Americans were taken from us. We remember them, the heroes who ran toward danger, and all those who answered the call to serve in the aftermath. On that dark day, we stood together. We rebuilt. We tirelessly pursued those responsible and held them to account. National unity carried us then, and it must carry us again today. We can disagree. We can debate passionately. But we can never forget that we are Americans first. Those who wish our country harm want to see us divided. We should never give them that satisfaction. We honor those we lost not just by remembering, but by living lives worthy of their sacrifice, committing ourselves, in whatever way we can, to serving our neighbor, our community, our country. God bless our men and women in law enforcement, firefighters, EMTs, and the military who keep us safe every day. God bless America. 🇺🇸

Today, the Indiana Supreme Court protected one of our most fundamental rights - the right to participate in our democracy. The Court stood with voters who did everything right, only to have their ballots rejected because of a government worker’s error, with no evidence of fraud or tampering. That is the right outcome. As your Secretary of State, I will protect the integrity of our elections, defend every legally cast vote, and ensure that each Hoosier can have a voice in our democracy.
This order vacates the Indiana Recount Commission's decision to throw out several votes properly cast but with clerical errors. Read more: indystar.com/story/news/poli…

Yesterday, Diego Morales issued a statement that said there is "no corruption to clean up" in the Secretary of State's office. This is the same office that spent $92,000 in taxpayer money on a luxury SUV, handed out millions of dollars in no-bid contracts to campaign donors, created six-figure jobs for the Secretary's own family members, and allowed for unexplained world travel. Hoosiers know better, and we are fed up with the wasteful spending, corruption, and insider dealing that has infested this office. Today I am releasing a four-part anti-corruption pledge. I hope every candidate in this race can adopt these pledges.

Today, on Labor Day, we celebrate the American labor movement and honor the sacrifices of working people who built this country and who keep it going. For generations, workers stood together and fought for fairer wages, better benefits, safer workplaces, and dignity on the job. That fight is far from over. Today, the average CEO makes nearly 300 times what the average worker earns. Corporations post record profits while too many families struggle to get by. Politicians use their offices to enrich themselves and their friends while asking working people to carry more of the load. As longtime AFL-CIO leader Thomas Donahue put it, “The only effective answer to organized greed is organized labor.” There is too much organized greed today. The solution is to put power in the hands of working people. I will always defend workers’ right to organize, bargain collectively, and fight for a fair share of the prosperity they help create. God bless you and your families as you rest and spend time together this Labor Day. 🇺🇸

I’m Beau Bayh, a captain in the Marines, a seventh-generation Hoosier, and I’m running for Secretary of State to clean up this office. I’ll end the corruption on day one. No more taxpayer-funded luxury SUVs or no-bid contracts to donors while Hoosiers barely make ends meet. Indiana can’t afford any more weak politicians. Let’s get to work.

Thanks to the Indy Chamber for tonight’s thoughtful discussion about the issues facing our state. I look forward to more conversation about how to make the Secretary of State’s office work for all Hoosiers.

Hoosiers are paying record-high utility rates while NIPSCO profits. Meanwhile, families sit in the heat without power, kids miss school, small businesses lose income, and food goes to waste. NIPSCO shouldn’t raise rates and make record profits while telling Hoosiers to wait weeks for reliable power. Hoosiers deserve better. abc7chicago.com/post/nipsco-…

Max Engling accepted an illegal campaign contribution, held onto it for weeks, and reported it falsely on a public report. If Max can't sort out basic contribution limits for his own campaign, how can Hoosiers trust him to administer elections?

Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads out there. I’m grateful for my dad, who devoted his life to serving Indiana and our country. He’s a good man and a great father, and I’m proud to be his son. We really enjoyed spending the day at the Honeysuckle Hill Bee-Stro in Brazil. Thank you for having us!

Today, I’m honored and humbled to be the Democratic nominee for Indiana Secretary of State. Every Hoosier who believes in honest government has a place in this campaign. We can all agree that corruption has no place in Indiana. Together, we can build a better politics here in Indiana, one rooted in accountability and integrity. I would like to thank Blythe Potter for stepping up to run for office, and I welcome her supporters to join our effort to bring change to our state. I’m grateful to each and every one of the delegates who participated in our convention today, and I’m looking forward to the work ahead. Please join me at BeauBayh.com.

There is nothing stronger than a mother’s love. Happy Mother’s Day to the wonderful moms still with us and to those we have only in our hearts. Not a day goes by that I don’t thank God for giving me my mom. I owe her everything.

No better way to start May in Indiana than running the Indianapolis Mini-Marathon yesterday. Then headed to Anderson to join the American Federation of Teachers conference. Always grateful for the chance to talk with dedicated educators about supporting our schools and why the Secretary of State’s office matters. See everyone at the Speedway in three weeks! 🏁🏎️
