Let’s look at some forgetting ones ☹️
The big black boys often get overlooked so let’s look at Calippo.
He’s 6yrs old, a bit shy in the kennel environment but improves when he’s away from the kennels and in the quiet sensory garden.
A quiet home with another dog would be perfect.
Could you share and help his dreams of the sweet life come true? 🙏🏻❤️

It’s always the “protect our women” lot, isn’t it🙄

Word travels fast in the forest. Baby Mwezi’s first day out with the Umani herd was a great success!
Murera gave birth in the middle of the night, tucked up in her stockade, but word still got out quickly in Kibwezi Forest. So quickly that, come dawn, all the wild-living orphans were waiting to meet her.
In case you missed yesterday’s news: bathed in the light of a near-full moon, Murera gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. She chose to deliver in her stockade, the place that has been her night-time sanctuary all these years. The whole thing was seamless, and mother and baby are both marvellous.
More to come, but we wanted to share Mwezi’s first moments with you. (Her name means ‘moon’ in Swahili!)
In the meantime, reacquaint yourself with Murera’s miraculous story: sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/o…

Our precious Bam Bam loves his walnuts 😋
His neurological condition means he struggles to hold his food, so we give him a helping hand ✨

Do watch:
It proves a point my wife Bunty has always made about big tough Robert Jenrick.
Whenever he gets found out or gets really addled, his voice suddenly goes much higher!
It literally goes up an octave like a schoolboy.
Here is a prime example. 😂

Vinny survived a horrific cat attack that cost him an ear. He could so easily have lost his life 💔
But here he is, safe, loved and quietly enjoying a chestnut. Every little moment is a miracle for this big brave boy 🌰🩵

Snoopy and Woodstock are two little bodegueros looking for a home.
Snoopy only has 3 legs but doesn’t know it and Woodstock was lucky enough to avoid injuries whilst living on the streets ❤️
They’ve been here since puppies from 4mths old and are now a year old 🫤
Can you share? They can be homed together or separated. They just need a home!
Plz share 🙏🏻❤️

I can already hear the comments… 💔 “Why didn’t you keep her puppies with her? Why didn’t you rehome them together?”
Do you know how difficult it is to find homes for Mastins?
Adult Mastins?
And how much harder it is to find someone willing to adopt an adult Mastin and a puppy who will soon grow into an adult themselves?
Believe me, if we thought it was possible, we would have tried to keep Mama Mia with one of her babies.
But rescue is not always that simple. And if you didn’t offer to help, please don’t be the one to criticise those who are trying their best.
Every single one of Mama Mia’s puppies has found a home. ❤️ Every one of them has a future, a family, and the chance to be loved. Of course, she’s a little sad. How could she not be?
But for the first time in her life, she was allowed to raise her babies until they were four months old.
Before this, her puppies were always taken away from her far too soon, while she was forced to live her life on a chain.
This time, she got to be a mum. She got to nurture, to love, to care for her babies. And that matters.
Now it’s Mama Mia’s turn. 🥹❤️
Today, we shared a little snuggle in the rain, and I wished so much that she could understand that her happy ending is still out there, waiting for her.
Mama Mia is one of the most loving, gentle and loyal dogs you could ever meet. She has so much love left to give, and all she needs is someone willing to give her a chance.
But she has one thing working against her: she’s a Mastin.
In our experience, as a Galgo rescue, finding homes for Mastins is incredibly difficult. People see their size, and sometimes they never get to see the beautiful soul hiding behind it.
So please, let’s stop criticising. Let’s stop looking backwards and start looking forward.
Let’s share Mama Mia.
Let’s help her find her person 🙏🏻❤️

What a special moment. Today we released two beautiful sea turtles back to the wild after undergoing months of rehabilitation. Our sea turtle recovery centre provides life-saving care and is an integral part of our wildlife hospital. These two lucky turtles now have a second chance at life.

Workers at this award-winning farm knew an M&S inspector was coming. But they didn’t know hidden cameras were already there, filming their clean-up, what the inspection missed, or what happened after.

Breeze spent around five to six years living on the streets, and since being rescued, his world has become so much smaller.
We are desperately appealing for a home that can work with him patiently, help him build his confidence, and gradually give him back some freedom.
Sadly, Breeze just won’t leave the kennel area, and he isn’t yet able to walk on a lead, so his world remains incredibly small.
Breeze is estimated to be around six or seven years old, possibly older, but his exact age doesn’t matter.
What matters is that he needs help 🙏🏻❤️
By sharing this post or offering him a safe place to call home, you could change his life. Please, help us give Breeze the chance he deserves ❤️

Can you spot our latest arrival?
Yesterday, we were blessed by a Comet in the form of ex-orphan Chaimu's beautiful newborn daughter. Chaimu arrived at our Ithumba stockades, and tucked beneath her legs was something rather special: the 95th known calf born to an orphan elephant we have rescued, raised and rewilded.
A wonderful new chapter in Chaimu's story – and another generation of wild elephants made possible by your support.

OLD and LEFT BEHIND 😞Grandma Summer was rescued with her pups.
She’s around 11yrs old … the pups all got reserved immediately but of course the old girl was left behind.
I know many of you love the oldies so let’s share… let’s get her on a big donut bed watching movies with a calm loving human 🩷🙏🏻

Racist be thy name
Thy balaclava come
Thy will be done
In ports as it is on dinghies
Give us this day
Our daily funding
& forgive us our racism as we intimidate those who speak against us
& lead us all into aggravation
But deliver us from being civil🙏
