Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library was the best contribution to child literacy ever made by a celebrity. Our paths crossed once, in the 90s, backstage at a talk show, and I was completely tongue-tied and starstruck. RIP Dolly. You were a complete, irreplaceable one-off.

I am almost literally medically incapable of staying in my trousers. So who’s really to blame here – me or the BBC?

Dame Maggie Smith in The First Wives Club is such an underrated showcase for her immense talent. Her pronunciation of the word “FORK” alone should be studied at Juilliard.

This evening was Dame Denise Lewis' final show as part of the BBC's athletics coverage. A brilliant career, after a brilliant career. She will now take up a role as President of UK Athletics. Thank you for a wonderful 15 years, @RealDeniseLewis. ❤️ #Paris2024 #BBCOlympics
Thank you for everything, Denise Lewis!
