Medicare for All is the culmination of 35 years of Leftist lies in furtherance of a government takeover of health care.
It will not be an extension of Medicare as it exists for seniors to the entire population. It will be Medicaid for All a la Canada and the UK.
You're not keeping your doctor, you insurance, your choice or the quality of your care. And you'll be losing all of those features from a system already diminished by government-imposed moral hazards while paying even more exorbitant prices in terms of taxes.
Dr. Joel Zinberg laid out this details today on @MorningAnswer.

There is a remarkable difference between finding evidence that challenges your assumptions and finding evidence that conveniently reassures you that you are the exception.
This is an interesting paper by Sniderman and colleagues, examining nearly 294,000 UK Biobank participants and finding that higher HDL cholesterol modifies the association between ApoB and cardiovascular events. The interaction is real, statistically significant, and worthy of further investigation. But the leap from an observational association to suggesting that an individual with an LDL of 574 mg/dL and ApoB above 350 might be immune to atherosclerosis is quite another matter.
In fact, the authors specifically caution that the observed interaction should not be taken as firm clinical evidence that ApoB ceases to be atherogenic or doesn't require treatment when HDL is high. That's a rather important sentence to leave out when you're discussing immunity.
A statistical model showing attenuation of risk at high HDL is not a clinical trial. Nor does it establish that raising HDL is protective, or that someone with extraordinarily elevated ApoB can safely ignore decades of exposure. We've spent years discovering that increasing HDL cholesterol pharmacologically doesn't reliably reduce cardiovascular events. HDL is an interesting biomarker, but biomarkers and causal mechanisms aren't interchangeable.
And then there is the problem of extrapolation. The ordinary distribution of ApoB in UK Biobank is not populated by large numbers of otherwise healthy individuals walking around with an LDL approaching 600. A modeled relationship at the extremes of HDL doesn't validate a personal experiment at the extremes of ApoB.
Which brings me to my friend Simon Hill, @theproof, who recently published something I found considerably more rigorous and intellectually open.
Simon had coronary CT angiograms suggesting a remarkable 48% reduction in plaque volume over 16.5 months. He could have celebrated, announced that his diet had reversed atherosclerosis, and made an excellent marketing campaign out of it. Instead, he examined the scans using three different analysis platforms. One suggested substantial regression, another progression, and the third essentially no change.
Rather than promoting the most flattering result, he openly discussed the uncertainty. That's what scientific curiosity looks like when the evidence doesn't cooperate with your expectations.
Simon also has something that makes this discussion more than academic. His father had a myocardial infarction at 41 and his grandfather at 49. Simon is now 40. He has lived with the consequences of cardiovascular disease in his family, and it's understandable that he wants to reduce his risk as much as reasonably possible. He has even started a PCSK9 inhibitor despite having an ApoB around 70–80 without medication.
We can debate whether targeting an ApoB below 40 with Repatha offers sufficient additional clinical benefit in someone with his particular risk profile. That's a legitimate discussion. But I applaud his desire to live longer and his willingness to question his own most favorable findings.
I understand the emotional component of this better than most. My own coronary calcium score is 90. I take rosuvastatin and ezetimibe, achieved an LDL around 60, and have seen it fall further since starting tirzepatide. I have no particular desire to measure every cubic millimeter of plaque in my coronary arteries. I know there is atherosclerosis, I know what the evidence supports, and I am treating the risk factors I can change.
Simon wants more information and more aggressive prevention. I am comfortable treating what I already know. Neither approach requires pretending that uncertainty has disappeared.
We physicians spend our lives talking about hazard ratios, plaque volumes, confidence intervals, and relative risk reductions. Yet one disrupted coronary plaque with a superimposed thrombus can turn all those abstractions into a very final event. That's why I care more about preventing myocardial infarctions than winning a competition over whose scan looks better.
The remarkable thing about the comparison is that both Simon and Norwitz have favorable personal findings. Simon asks whether his are reliable. Norwitz highlights an observational study that might explain why his own findings are reassuring.
There is a lesson there about confirmation bias, and it applies to all of us, physicians included.
The Sniderman paper deserves attention. It may teach us something important about HDL biology and cardiovascular risk. But it does not establish immunity from ApoB, and it certainly doesn't overturn the causal evidence supporting LDL lowering.
Science progresses when we investigate the observations that don't fit our models, not when we promote the observations that make us feel invulnerable.
After all, the goal isn't to prove that your arteries are special. It's to live long enough that they never become the reason you aren't.

Purgatory is real. And its existence doesn’t reject Christ’s finished work.
Every soul in purgatory has already been SAVED by Christ and is going to Heaven.
Purgatory is the final purification of the saved, because “nothing unclean shall enter Heaven” (Rev. 21:27).
Jesus is the reason why purification is even possible.
Death is not a magic cleansing portal. If you died today, you are NOT pure enough to directly enter heaven.🤔

Have you ever gone through a season of strange, repeated misfortunes, unexpected setbacks, heavy anxiety, or a sense that something is not right, even when you cannot explain why?
In the Catholic tradition, we are never left alone in such moments.
The Church teaches us to turn to God with trust, seeking His protection and deliverance. Sometimes the battles we face are not only external but also spiritual.
Jesus Himself taught us to pray: “Deliver us from evil.”If you feel oppressed by unexplained difficulties, consider these steps of faith:
• Go to Confession with sincerity and receive the Eucharist frequently.
• Pray the Rosary daily, especially the Sorrowful Mysteries.
• Invoke St. Michael the Archangel and the Holy Name of Jesus.
• Offer a simple prayer of surrender: “Lord Jesus, I place my life under Your protection. Deliver me from every evil and fill me with Your peace.”
• Ask a priest for guidance if the burden feels heavy.
Remember: God is greater than any darkness. He does not abandon those who call upon Him. The same Lord who calmed the storm and cast out demons still walks with us today.
You are not alone. Bring your burdens to the foot of the Cross and trust in His mercy.
Lord Jesus, protect us from evil. Amen!

Layers Beneath St. Peter’s: a mesmerizing story of millennia ✝️✨
First of all, this infographic is extremely simplified (so please, spare us the Community Notes)
The underground structures are not arranged in perfectly aligned layers like a modern skyscraper, but the illustration does contain a kernel of truth and gives a fairly good idea of what lies beneath St. Peter’s Basilica
1. The Basilica
This is the part everyone knows and can visit normally: the nave, the papal altar, Bernini’s Baldachin, and Michelangelo’s dome
Yet the floor we walk on is only the most visible part of a much deeper history
2. The Vatican Grottoes
Located beneath the Basilica floor, they are open to visitors free of charge, without a reservation
They contain the tombs of numerous popes and other funerary monuments
They are not one uniform space: the Grottoes include chapels, corridors, and areas from different periods, developed over the centuries
3. The remains of the old Constantinian Basilica
Before the present Basilica, consecrated in 1626, stood the great basilica commissioned by Emperor Constantine in the 4th century
Some of its ancient structures, walls, and traces of earlier buildings survive beneath the current church
They do not form a separate, perfectly preserved floor, as the infographic might suggest, but rather an archaeological landscape of considerable complexity
4. The Vatican Necropolis
Descending further, we reach an ancient Roman burial ground containing mausoleums, tombs, decorations, and passageways dating back to the early centuries of the Christian era
This is one of the site’s most extraordinary features: beneath the monumental Basilica lies part of ancient Rome, with its burial structures and evidence of a world very different from the one we see above ground
This area is not freely accessible
Visits require advance booking and an authorized guide, with visitor numbers strictly limited
5. The Tomb of St. Peter
At the heart of this archaeological area lies the site traditionally identified as the burial place of the Apostle Peter
Archaeological investigations have uncovered funerary structures and evidence of early Christian veneration that have played a fundamental role in the site’s history
It is important, however, to distinguish the site venerated as the Apostle’s tomb from the possibility of proving every detail concerning the human remains with absolute certainty
Despite its graphic limitations, this infographic conveys an interesting concept: St. Peter’s is not simply a basilica built over another basilica, but a layered complex of architecture, archaeology, burial sites, and history
Of course, the actual spaces do not form five regular, perfectly aligned floors
Their shapes, elevations, and orientations differ; some areas are accessible, others can only be seen on specialist tours, and still others remain preserved as archaeological remains closed to the public
But the underlying idea is correct: descending beneath St. Peter’s means moving through different historical periods, from the grandeur of the present Basilica to Imperial Rome and the origins of Christian tradition…
