This is the moment Mars peeked out from behind our moon after being hidden for an hour. This shot was captured using my largest telescope and a special high-speed camera. Seeing another planet rising on the horizon of our moon was such a surreal experience.

SACD aerospace engineers from @NASA_Langley have been having a great time @ascendspace this week, sharing their work on exploring the universe for the benefit of humanity. Thanks for the hospitality @aiaa! #ASCENDspace
Seventeen people are standing together in a hotel lobby, in front of a large blue screen with white letters that reads "ASCEND." The floors and walls are beige. Everyone is smiling.

In terms of space policy, the big picture here is that top engineers at Marshall Space Flight Center in Alabama are writing glowingly about a NASA-funded program that will use reusable, super heavy rockets to launch huge propellant depots.

In late May, Webb sustained a dust-sized micrometeroid impact to a primary mirror segment. Not to worry: Webb is still performing at a level that exceeds all mission requirements. Our first images will #UnfoldTheUniverse on July 12: go.nasa.gov/3mvyZoJ
