Inside the mind of Nuggets playoff X-factor Cam Johnson, who’s currently reading “The Fabric of the Cosmos: Space, Time, and the Texture of Reality” to unwind after games. One of the most fun interviews I’ve had with a player in a minute. For @DenverPost denverpost.com/2026/04/18/wi…

Cam Johnson on track to play tonight in Phoenix.

Julian Strawther is here doing pregame work two weeks into his recovery from a left knee sprain.

Those late 3s from Christian Braun were absolutely huge for a team that has felt woefully short on shooting without Cam Johnson, Spencer Jones and Julian Strawther early in the season. Four games in from 3pt range: Jamal Murray: 16/34 (47.1%) Rest of the Nuggets: 29/103 (28.2%)

Nikola Jokic joins Russell Westbrook in the 200 triple-doubles club. Both of them recorded No. 200 as a Denver Nugget.

Jokic intentionally wraps up Zion to take away a driving layup and it’s his third foul. Bagley back into the game to play these last two minutes of the half.

Nuggets have gone more than five minutes without a bucket, and a 22-point lead is down to 10.

Nuggets are liking their jumbo lineups in the first quarter against New Orleans tonight. Brazile-Gordon-Jokic frontcourt went +14 in an eight-minute stint to start the game, and now David Adelman is trying Jokic and Marvin Bagley together for the first time this season.

Spencer Jones and Alpha Diallo remain out, and Cam Johnson is doubtful for Nuggets-Pelicans tomorrow.

Murray: “Our offense has been for years that tone-setter. Just a lot of firepower and teams have to keep up with us, trying to stop us. This year and a couple recent years, we’ve gotta focus on defense. … We have to have a better awareness and not even effort, just more skill.”

FWIW, asked David Adelman if he’s concerned at all by Nikola Jokic’s slow shooting start (5/23 from 3 in particular, exacerbating Denver’s spacing issues caused by no Cam Johnson): “I don’t see anything mechanical. He hasn’t complained about any discomfort or anything like that.”

I wanted to follow up with Nikola Jokic about his anti-booing stance in relation to all of his past comments about European basketball crowds. Here’s what he said: denverpost.com/2026/10/27/ni…

No boos tonight at Ball Arena after Nikola Jokic’s reprimand. But a lot of uncomfortable silence as the Nuggets fall 134-114 to the previously winless Golden State Warriors. Denver is 1-2 with a two-game trip to New Orleans and Phoenix coming up.

Aaron Gordon gets ejected for its 8:34 remaining and the Nuggets trailing 108-91. He was letting the refs hear it after an illegal screen was called against Christian Braun, who said “that’s terrible.”

Another Nuggets timeout 93 seconds after halftime… They’re playing with fire at home again, down 69-60 to reeling Warriors.

Nuggets trail Golden State 60-56 at halftime despite limiting Steph Curry to 3 points and 1 FGA. Yaxel leading all scorers with 15.
