Byli prezesi Trybunału Konstytucyjnego przerwali milczenie. Marek Safjan, Jerzy Stępień, Bohdan Zdziennicki i Andrzej Zoll wydali wspólne oświadczenie, w którym stają murem za nowo wybranymi sędziami TK.
Zdaniem sygnatariuszy należy zwołać Zgromadzenie Ogólne sędziów TK i podjąć uchwały w sprawie wniosków Prokuratora Generalnego o uchylenie immunitetów Bogdana Święczkowskiego i Bartłomieja Sochańskiego.

About Oleshky.
First, thank you to everyone who made this evacuation possible. To everyone who spent years drawing attention to russian genocide in Oleshky, long before the suffering made international headlines. And to everyone who continues fighting to bring home those abducted by russia.
Every single life saved is invaluable.
Watching people finally escape the hell of russian occupation, carrying their pets and a few belongings — whatever was left of their former lives — was both heartbreaking and deeply moving.
russia made these people go through the hell none of us can even imagine. They will need enormous support to rebuild their lives, and I sincerely hope the Ukrainian state will provide it.
And this brings me to the most important point that we should keep conveying to the world.
This evacuation must not become a story about russian goodwill.
None of these people should ever have been forced to live through that hell and flee their homes in the first place.
For years, people in Oleshky have lived under russian occupation, subjected to grave abuses and deprived of their freedom and basic needs. Those atrocities demand thorough investigation and accountability, they must not be written off or forgotten.
Allowing some people to leave does not erase what happened to them. Nor does it absolve russia of responsibility for those who still remain trapped, those who have been abducted, and those who have lost their lives.
As for the russian political motives behind this operation. I fear that Moscow will be trying to present the release of these people as evidence of its supposed willingness to negotiate — and then use that narrative to encourage Washington to double down pressure on Kyiv as if we are an obstacle to peace.
We are seeing the same story unfolding now, with the lately released American citizen who was illegally abducted by russia and tortured in captivity, but who now plays into Trump's narrative that sanctions againts russia must be lifted.
russia is not humanitarian, it is a perpetrator and a core reason for this war. It is cancer of mankind.
But besides political motives, russians may well try to get military advantages too. While the temporary Oleshky ceasefire made this evacuation possible, we should also be watching further russian military activity in the Kherson direction very closely. There were reports of russia using humanitarian demining to bring in more weapons, improve logistics and do troops rotations.
None of this diminishes the extraordinary importance of the lives saved. Quite the opposite.
But we must keep telling the *full story of Oleshky*. Not just about this evacuation, but the years of occupation, suffering, disappearances, deaths, and the people who are still there, waiting to come home.
Because this mission also reminds us of something fundamental: this war continues only because russia chooses to continue it.
If russia stops fighting, there will be no war. If Ukraine stops fighting, there will be no Ukraine.
"I wanted Ukraine to be back in Oleshky, not people from Oleshky to move here," said a woman with tears in her eyes yesterday. I cannot agree more. This war is so unjust.
Oleshky was, is and will always be Ukraine.

‼️Oleksanda Matviichuk @avalaina says it all: "The evacuation of people from Oleshky has finished. Buses with people are finally in Ukraine. And I cannot stop thinking that just five years ago, these people lived peaceful lives, raised their children, tended their gardens, and were happy. Then Russian soldiers came to their land.
People were hunted with drones, isolated and starved, and their homes were flooded when the Russians blew up the Kakhovka dam. Throughout all these years, they watched their neighbors and relatives die before their eyes. It reached the point where people could no longer bury their dead, and dogs tore apart their bodies.
After months of relentless horror, Russia finally allowed them to be evacuated. It took the intervention of the Pope, the First Lady of the United States, persistent appeals from the UN, a hunger strike by the Vice-President of the European Parliament, and a months-long campaign by Ukrainian volunteers. And now these exhausted people are leaving their homes, the graves of their loved ones, and their entire lives behind, traveling by bus into the unknown.
These people leave the land of their ancestors. And before long, Russia will settle the occupied territories with Russians, who will gladly move into other people’s homes from which their owners were driven out. This is a policy of artificially changing the demographic composition of the population, which Russia has pursued throughout all the years of the war, starting with the occupation of Crimea.
Russian propaganda portrays this evacuation as a display of the Russians’ lofty humanism. But it is nothing but cynicism.
The case of Oleshky shows exactly what Russian occupation is. And it also demonstrates that Russia can commit the most horrific crimes in the occupied territories right before the eyes of the entire world."

The attack dogs of pro-Russian, pro-MAGA and anti-EU propaganda are in full force over what is happening in Poland, portraying the PiS camp as the victim of a supposed coup.
How convenient.
Let’s remember who started this.
In 2015, PiS began dismantling Poland’s rule of law, unlawfully filling seats on the Constitutional Tribunal and bringing key judicial institutions under political influence.
For eight years, they undermined the very democratic safeguards they now claim to defend.
They lost power in 2023, but their grip on parts of the state survived. Now, as Donald Tusk’s government attempts to restore judicial independence, the same political camp cries dictatorship and presents itself as the victim.
You cannot spend eight years undermining the rule of law and then invoke it as a shield against accountability.
Poland’s democratic institutions belong to its citizens, not to a political party determined to retain power after losing an election.
Restoring the rule of law is not a coup. It is a democratic responsibility. And it must be carried out in accordance with the Constitution.

We suspected this was the reason Ukraine’s access to Starshield was restricted. But to see it from senior officials in this reporting is still utterly unconscionable.
Let’s be absolutely clear about what this means. The Trump Administration deliberately restricted technology Ukraine relies on to intercept Russian drones and ballistic missiles. It made it harder for Ukraine to defend itself and easier for Russia to carry out its deadly attacks against Ukrainian civilians.
They knew exactly what was at stake. They knew that more Russian drones and missiles would get through, allowing Russia to kill even more Ukrainians. And yet they went ahead anyway.
This is a deliberate weaking of Ukraine’s defenses that only Russia will benefit from. It is a betrayal of our ally that this Administration cannot wash its hands of.
The American people deserve to know who made this decision, why they made it, and how they can possibly justify putting more innocent Ukrainian lives in the crosshairs of Putin’s war machine.

Der Supreme Court hob das Verbot auf, Justice Black: „The press was to serve the governed, not the governors.“
BILD druckte.

A 74-year-old Christian pastor has been sentenced to five years in a russian prison for speaking the truth about the war in Ukraine.
His name is Yuri Sipko. He is a Baptist pastor, former leader of the Russian Baptist Union, and former vice president of the Baptist World Alliance. He is also a man of faith, courage, and moral integrity.
On October 28, a Moscow court sentenced Yuri to five years in prison. His crime? In March 2022, while preaching at a church in the United States, he condemned russia’s invasion of Ukraine. He spoke about the destruction of Ukrainian cities, the killing of innocent people, and the millions forced to flee their homes. For these words, the russian government accused him of spreading “fake news” about its military.
There is something particularly heartbreaking about Yuri’s story. During the Soviet Union, his father, also a Baptist pastor, was sentenced to five years in prison for his religious ministry. Now, decades later, his son has received the same sentence for speaking the truth. The Soviet Union is gone, but the persecution of Christians who refuse to submit to the state continues.
Thankfully, Yuri escaped russia in 2023 and now lives in the United States. But what impresses me most is his response to the sentence.
Instead of expressing fear or bitterness, Yuri responded with Scripture: “You are those who have stood by me in my trials.” (Luke 22:28)
He even joked that he was beginning to serve his sentence in absentia. Then he reflected on the words for which he was convicted, asking how they could possibly be considered false when Ukrainian cities continue to be destroyed, fields are covered with mines, and missiles and drones continue to take innocent lives.
And he concluded with a remarkable expression of faith: “I accept it with gratitude to the Lord!”
I have enormous respect for Yuri Sipko.
As a Christian, I believe that our faith is tested not by what we say when it is convenient, but by what we are willing to stand for when telling the truth comes at a personal cost. It is easy to preach about righteousness, justice, and loving our neighbors. It is much harder to live by these principles when doing so puts your freedom, safety, and future at risk.
Yuri is an example of what Christian faith should look like. He demonstrates that obedience to God is more important than obedience to political power, that truth is more important than personal comfort, and that moral convictions mean very little unless we are willing to defend them.
His story also reminds us of a painful reality. A government can surround itself with religious symbols, speak endlessly about traditional values, and claim to defend Christianity while persecuting the very people who take Christ’s teachings seriously.
Yuri Sipko reminds me that genuine faith does not bow before dictators, does not justify the killing of innocent people, and does not remain silent in the face of evil.
