No BS Kaito Earn Review #1 - @newton_xyz Starting this new series where I play around the different dapps and products on the @KaitoAI Earn feed. A lot of CT is now blindly bullposting and shilling products simply to earn yap and the airdrop that comes with it. Newton - The auto DCA bot that buys you $CBBTC $ETH $KAITO $VIRTUAL in set timeframe. UX is clean. The onboarding flow is simple with just email signup, similar to @defiapp @infinex which are all "smart accounts" or "all-in-one super app" targetting to expand to the non-cryptonative, or at least to simplify the user experience even for the natives. The issue is that it reminds me of @JupiterExchange "Recurring" function, if not inferior (or simpler, depends how you see it) with less token option. Sure the roadmap and future updates of Newton might be able to do something else besides auto-dca buy a few tokens, but right now judging from this MVP I don't feel that it's a revolutionizing or powerful AI tool at all. The Recurring Buy "Agent" felt extremely underwhelming to me, hopium is that the future looks interesting! Pure assumption and imagination from here, depends on how the Newton team executes and delivers. "Yield Manager": YAS. The most exciting feature imo, UX from the user perspective is key for this one. Interested to see how it compares to @BasisOS and iI'm sure there are a ton more yield manager AI being developed. Rebalancing and compounding remind me of @vfat_io and @HawkFi_ which both are super useful and powerful tools to automate, compound, rebalance, or even exit. I wonder how "smart" Newotn can be in replacing tools like these. "Governance Voter": Hmmmm. Auto vote on DAOs based on user-defined preference sure, but I wonder the edge cases for certain proposals that are much more controversial. Unless everyone just set thier bot to be a "yes man", then it causes a whole lot of other problems. I was imagining scenario like a proposal to do another round of airdrop for token holders but increase existing vesting for example, where one might be conflicted if they want instant reward (unlock on their bag) or delayed reward (moar airdrop), how would my Newton AI vote for me then? "NFT Buyer": I assume similar to sniping bots for buying floor or even trait-specific NFT, always the problem with NFTs is that the art does matter and hence the rarity. Huge reason NFT finance didn't quite work out is because it is fungible and the art or the lore affects the "rarity". Wonder if my AI pal can know me so well that it buys art that fit my exact taste, I doubt though. "Onchain Gamer": Making play-to-earn even more soulless and botted lol. Hard to judge on this yet but I could imagine it "ruining" what was already notorious in the p2e category of games where the fun, the grind, the financial incentives, are all taken out of the game and truly making those "games" a glorified auto-clicker ponzi FINAL VERDICT: Underwhelming right now, feels to me the team is trying to feed into CT hype atm and buying time to build. Interesting to see the next iteration of this, gives me "BIG IF TRUE" hopium.
