Forged is out now!
Love isn't safe.
Power isn't kind.
And destiny doesn't care what Verve wants--only what she's willing to sacrifice.

I got to advise on/pick out parts of my nephew's Halloween costume this year!! It was LOTR-themed, so of course he consulted me ;)
Every year for Christmas, my mom gives me a new ornament to hang on the tree. She's started having me pick them out. This year's says, "I'm having a nervous bake down."
Fitting.

“The fourteen-year-old in my life says every single member of her class is using ChatGPT to write essays. We’ve put young people, who are not known for their impulse control, in a situation that makes them vulnerable to their own desire to cut corners.
“We’re told it’s more efficient, but do we dream of a more efficient future for our children? A good teacher is not teaching your child about Henry VIII; they’re teaching your child how to read a face, how to shape an argument, how to command an audience, how to tell jokes, how to transmit knowledge.
“A teacher can teach your child to be human. A computer can only teach your child to be a computer.” — Fantasy novelist Katherine Rundell

Anyone doing an unofficial NaNoWriMo this year? I think the event deserves a new name after getting tainted by all that garbage that went down. Novelling November is my choice.
A quote from one of my favorite movies:
"I'm just pure adrenaline right now. I feel like I swallowed bees."
Name it.
My favorite Jane Austen adaptations:
1. Pride and Prejudice (1995)
2. Persuasion (1995)
3. Sense and Sensibility (2008)
4. Northanger Abbey (2007)
5. Sense and Sensibility (1995)
6. Emma (1996)
7. Emma (2020)
For Halloween, I'm dressing up as a tired, book-pushing author in need of more tea and sales.
